Make sure to shake the can extremely well before use to achieve maximum cleaning results. Hold the canister about 6-10" away from dry, dirty hair. Section and apply product in a sweeping motion. Wait 30 seconds. Remove powder by massaging and shaking at roots with fingers or brush hair. Apply more as needed, shake can again. Style as desired.

Similar to a rinse-out shampoo, your hair and scalp will primarily need root application for fresh, clean results. However, our Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo can be applied throughout the lengths of your hair for an overall refresh if you’d like.

By shaking the can extremely well prior to application, you are priming the formula for a uniform application. This will ensure maximum cleaning results!

Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo can be used on most hair types. For thicker, coarser hair, section more thoroughly upon application. For curly hair, remove powders with a blow dryer on low and directed at the roots where the product was applied (vs. fingers or brush, which will deconstruct the curl).

Yes! You can use Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo on top of the products you used to style damp hair (i.e. you blew out your hair with a styling cream and later in the day or the next day, you follow with dry shampoo). You can also use dry shampoo before using products on dry hair to re-touch (i.e. dry shampoo followed by hairspray or finishing serum). Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo is compatible with all Living Proof care and styling products. The powders may cling more to resin-based products, but they should still be easily removed. If you still see powders after using fingers and/or brush, use a blow dryer for more thorough removal.

The amount of Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo depends on your hair type and the amount of oil, sweat and odor in the hair. It’s best to do one thorough sweep, wait 30 seconds, shake out activated powders, then apply more as needed.

White residue from the cleansing powders is normal and expected — especially if you have dark hair. To remove the powder, massage hair with fingers and/or a brush. A boar’s bristle brush will be the most efficient in removing residue. If powder remains, use a blow dryer to remove the excess.

Apply Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo as directed, but instead of massaging with fingers or brushing through the hair, we recommend using a blow dryer on low (focusing on the roots) to remove activated powders. The force of the air will eliminate residue, while keeping curls intact.

No, Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo won’t remove other products from your hair. We know you worked hard for your style and you don’t want to start from scratch. Instead, this dry shampoo eliminates only the bad stuff — like oil, sweat and odor.

We recommend allowing sweat to dry a bit before applying Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo.

Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo balances sebum levels without leaving a textured, dry feel. If your scalp is particularly dry, feel free to use our Scalp Care Dry Scalp Treatment as a complement to our Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo.

You can certainly use Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo on hair that is not yet dirty, but since the product won’t have much cleaning to do, you likely won’t see much of a transformation.

There’s no one-size-fits-all recommendation for how often you should wash your hair with a rinse-out shampoo. Everyone’s hair and scalp are different, and so are their personal preferences. On average, washing hair with a rinse-out shampoo every 2 or 3 days is generally fine, and most people do not need to wash their hair everyday (although some may still prefer to do so). Absolutely not! In fact, by using our Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo, you’ll be able to longer between washes and reduce harmful heat styling. Frequent washing and styling can lead to an increase in hair damage and excess sebum production as your scalp attempts to rebalance sebum levels. Using our Perfect hair Day™ Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo in between washes means that you can wash and style less frequently lowering the exposure to these damaging events ultimately improving hair health over time.
