When using No Frizz Straight Making Styling Treatment for thick to coarse hair start with clean, damp towel-dried hair.
If you have long hair start with a small dollop and rub the product between your hands. Spread the product through your hair on one side starting at the roots and working it down the hair shaft making sure its evenly distributed. If you prefer, you can also use a wide tooth comb to work the product evenly through your hair.
Then dispense more product and again rub it between your hands and spread it through the other side. Continue this process until all of your hair is fully coated. Don't be afraid to use too much.
After applying the product completely, to achieve a really straight style, we recommend using a heat appliance like a blow dryer or straightening iron. Heat styling enhances the straight result of No Frizz Straight Treatment and will leave your hair ultra soft and smooth.
Starting at the roots, gently comb the brush through your hair one section at a time, aiming the blow-dryer down the hair shafts. Gently pull the hair away from your head, using slight tension to straighten it as you go.
Make sure to keep the tension of the brush consistent and evenly distribute heat over the section of hair you are working on. Continue blow-drying small sections of hair repeating the process until your entire head of hair is dry and straightened.
No Frizz Styling Treatment is ideal for restoring moisture and shine to fragile hair that's been damaged from color processes or chemical treatments. It is also great for taming unruly new growth along the hairline and to condition dry, split ends. If you rely on a leave-in conditioner, keep using it. Use the leave-in first, and then apply your No Frizz.
Our system of selecting the right No Frizz solution by hair type and desired style was designed to make it easy to find the perfect product for the majority of frizzy heads. However, for some there are a few exceptions to the rules.
If your hair is dry or damaged... Regardless of hair type, if you consider your hair dry or damaged, you should bump up a notch from the No Frizz spray to the No Frizz cream or from the No Frizz cream to the No Frizz treatment. If you typically use a leave-in conditioner, then you should continue to do so. Apply No Frizz Leave In Conditioner per your usual routine, then fully saturate your hair with No Frizz.
Hold or no hold? No Frizz Wave Shaping, Curl Defining formulas contain a lightweight, touchable holding polymer that will add definition to waves and curls. No Frizz Straight Making formulas do not contain a holding polymer. So, if you like hold, you can use the wave/curl products even if you want to style your hair straight for added shape. If you don't like hold, you can use the straight products even if you want waves or curls for a looser, natural look.
