Using Full on Short Hair

Miwa_after blog cropIf you caught us on the Daily Grommet, you saw the host, Jules, get styled with a Full blowout by professional stylist and Living Proof co-founder Mitch DeRosa. Her short, flat hair was transformed into a beautiful, fuller, thicker bob. Want to know how he did it? Here are step-by-step instructions to style your short hair with Full!

First, start off with damp hair. Squeeze a dime-sized  amount of Full on to your fingertip and then rub it in between your hands. Finding the perfect amount can take some experimentation—just remember that with FullLP_full_howtouse_step_stills_Page_08, less is more!

Spread Full through your hair evenly, just starting beyond the roots and working it down the hair shaft to the ends. Then, use your fingers or a wide-toothed comb to make sure it’s evenly distributed.

Finish off your style using a small round rush and blow-dryer to create a really full look. Starting at the roots, wind the round brush through your hair one section at a time, aiming the blow dryer under the brush to lift the hair as it dries (tip: using a concentrator nozzle is the best way to blow dry your hair straight). Gently pull the hair away from your scalp using slight tension to roll and thicken as you go.

Our website has a video on how to get this look but you can also check out Jules’ blowout on the Daily Grommet website. Send us a photo of your short style and you could be featured right here on our blog!

Betty, you can definitely have success with No Frizz without using heat! In fact, we have a “How-To” video on how to air-dry using Full as well as a blog post. Just follow the links for more information.
