I am so glad to see that you are coming out with the Jumbo Size. I have thick, coarse, curly hair. The only time my hair was sleek and shiny was when my hairdresser did it. I use the Leave in Conditioner and styling creme.

I now can do my own hair, flat-iron it and go several days without worrying.

I live in the south, so you can imagine the humidity.

I am so glad that I found this product. I am now sharing it with my friends, so I think you will have more customers from the South.

Hey Elizabeth, thanks for the note. Send us the information at questions@livingproof.com and we’ll see what we can do. We’re just so happy you love the products. Rob, CEO.

  3. Elizabeth says:

Your No Frizz was mentioned before a meeting I attended with several other professional women, and the conversation was off and running! I tried the curl defining treatment–it was mid-summer and I needed it–and was so impressed. The look, the feel, its staying power over the course of long, humid days. I do pro bono work for a large women’s event happening this fall, and I think Living Proof should be there. More of us need to know about what you do and what it can do for us, and I think the segment who hit Sephora or QVC is too small. OK, I do it, but I know so many who don’t.

  4. Joanne says:

Well we just got over the 15 worst humid, hot, muggie days every….and voila I still have straight hair!!! Can’t imagine what would happen if you ever ran out of this product. I’m hoping to try the leave-in; as I like the shampoo and conditioner as well. Guess I’m just a No Frizz roadie:)

  5. Bunnie Robinson says:

I used both the straight and wavy leave in products and they work okay. My hair is super curly, frizzy and dry from coloring. The products make my blow drying time a bit longer and it does make my hair look shiny for about 5 minutes. Once I am out in the humidity this product didn’t really work much better than any of the others on the market. Still go frizz, even with a helmet of hairspray on top. It does make your hair really soft, but the shiny part ends when the frizz starts. I used tons of this stuff and it only works when their is very little humidity. Not sure why all the others on this blog are saying it totally works because they must have only mildly curly hair. I will buy it again because it does make your hair more manageable, but it still isn’t the nirvana everyone with super curly hair is looking for. The very small size bottles for the amount paid was shocking when it arrived. You need to offer a larger size for the price.

  6. Lisa says:

Love the products – have been using the shampoo/conditioner and styling cream for wavy coarse hair. I just wish it came in bigger sizes. The price tag is a bit hefty for an amount that will only last me about 4 applications if I use it according to the videos here.

  7. Betty says:

I have naturally curly/frizzy hair that has been torture for me all my life. I have tried sooooo many hair products to tame it. Living Proof is a miracle!!! Truly!! I have used all the creams and was one of the first people to buy the shampoo and conditioner and I love them both. These products do not weigh your hair down. Amazing.

I live in Pittsburgh, PA and we have hot and muggy/humid weather periodically throughout the summer, plus rainy humid weather at times in the spring and fall. Since I have been using Living Proof, my hair is amazing. I have actually forgotten what its like to have kinky frizzy ugly hair. I even use Living Proof when its not humid or rainy as it makes my hair fuller, softer, easier to style. I absolutely love it. Thank you so much for the wonderful product and I hope to see more.

Just when I thought I was doomed to frizzy hair the rest of my life – along comes No Frizz. I have only used it a couple of times so far but the results are amazing!! I have had MANY compliments and a co-worker even asked if I colored my hair because she said my hair looked like it had “more color” and was shinier. I live in MD and it’s always humid but I can actually let my hair air dry without looking like Gilda Radner (to quote someone else). I used to use Wen cleanser/conditioner which I loved but it doesn’t control frizziness. I now use the No Frizz shampoo, conditioner and the wave shaping, curl defining styling cream for medium to thick hair. I just ordered it for straight hair and I will be trying the leave in conditioner too. Thank you Living Proof – I am now a poster child for No Frizz.

  9. robrobceo says:

Give us a call when you can. The wave/curl products all contain a lightweight holding polymer to give waves and curls some definition. However, some people like hold and some don’t (like you!). So for you, we’d recommend the Straight Making Cream which will still give you a frizz free result even if you want to wear it wavy/curly. I’d stick with the Cream though vs. the Spray so you get a little conditioning for your color-treated hair.

Anyway, we’re available Monday – Friday from 8 am – 6pm EST at 866-240-9933 and are happy to make it right.

  10. dts says:

I just tried the No Frizz “wave shaping curl defining no frizz styling cream for medium to thick hair” on my hair today. I also used the shampoo and conditioner. However it has left my hair crunchy and somewhat sticky at the same time. Definitely not soft at all! I don’t know what I did wrong. I have naturally curly/wavy hair. I like to wear it naturally, but it usually ends up messy and frizzy. I really want this stuff to work for me. My hair is thin and fine and color treated. It’s a little dry, but not too bad. I live in Minnesota and the air is either cold and dry or hot and humid.
I do not use a dryer or flat iron to style my hair. I much prefer a “wash and go” routine. Typically, after I wash & condition, I put in a leave-in conditioner and towel dry, scrunch and that’s it!
I wonder if maybe the “wave shaping curl defining no frizz styling spray for fine to medium hair” would be a better choice? The website recommended the cream because I said my hair was dry/damaged (its not that bad, but somewhat).
Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

  11. The Living Proof Team says:

    Hi Gina,

We’re sorry to hear you didn’t get great results using the No Frizz Straight Making Cream. We suggest you continue to use it a few more times as the technology works better the more you use it. Also, you might want to consider using the whole system (i.e. No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner as well as No Frizz Stylers) – this has been proven to provide even greater results. Give it a try and let us know how it goes. If you’re not interested then please give us a call for a full refund if you purchased from livingproof.com.

  12. Gina says:

Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me at all. I have fine wavy/curly hair that frizzes both when it’s air dried or blow dried if I don’t use any products. So as soon as it arrived in the mail I tried it the same day. Instead of my usual b&b cream I used the straight making styling cream on my towel dried hair, as directed I fully saturated the entire hair and then blow dried as usual. As soon as I finished blow drying the hair looked OK as it always does right after blow drying, smooth but not completely sleek. So I waited to see the results, whithin 10 minutes it started puffing and frizzing (there was 72% humidity outside and 47% in my house). An hour later still in the house the hair looked like puffy frizzy straws all over as if I hadn’t used any products.
I don’t think this product does anything for fine hair, or I can’t explain why I didn’t see the slightest difference. On the plus side it has a lovely smell, I liked the citrus scent. I’ll still be using my b&b styling cream which controls frizz not entirely but better than this.

  13. Amy Guidry says:

Living Proof? Try Living POUF. I live in Louisiana, so I put this to the ultimate frizz test. I used this before going out on a humid, summer night after it rained. The results: worked fine while indoors, yet the moment I went outside I looked like Gilda Radner. Apparently nothing will work against these conditions.

  14. Erin says:

So, I’ve been using the straightening spray for about a two weeks now, and this morning used the shampoo and conditioner for the first time. The conditioner was kind of rich, and I was worried that it would weigh my hair down, but it rinsed very off very clean, and my hair feels lighter than it ever has. The products seem to work together so well that I didn’t even have to use a flat iron today. The big test for me will be to see how well they repel the dirt and oil, as described, because I don’t wash my hair every day and I am eager to see if this product helps in that regard. I’m also eager to try the curling spray too, because I mix it up with my hair a lot. But so far, so good. And I LOVE the smell. Clean but not perfumey.

  15. Karen Lenze says:

I had beautiful pin straight hair that I was complimented on all my life. I NEVER had frizzies. Suddenly a year or too ago it all changed, though I can not pinpoint any specific reason why. My hair turned to straw-looking frizz. I dread going out in the summer humidity. I tried a Brazilian Keratin therapy treatment but feel that it made a lot of my hair break with the flat ironing, and really didn’t see a great improvement. I was at my wits end….. seeing my hair even frizz INSIDE my house if it got to hot. Well I saw the Living Proof ad in Allure and bought it yesterday. I’ve only used it once, and it made a HUGE difference, I now have minimal frizz (THANK YOU THANK YOU)even after walking down by the water for an hour in 90 degree weather. PLEASE PLEASE make it in bigger bottles so it lasts longer!!!!!!

  16. The Living Proof Team says:

The Straight Making products work best with heat. For Wavy/Curly styles you can either dry with a diffuser or let it air dry. If you have straight hair and are adverse to using heat, try the Straight Spray for about a week and see if you can notice the difference. We do know some customers use the products without heat. It all depends on the kind of affect you’re looking for. Alternatively – you could also try the Straight Cream since you describe your hair as dry/damaged. The extra conditioning may help hydrate your hair and tame the frizzies. Let us know how it goes!

  17. APar says:

Hello, do the products only work if you use some type of heat? I can’t use heat (blow dryer, flat iron, etc..) because my hair is so fine and gets damaged easily but I do have a little bit of frizzies sometimes. I have fine, straight hair that tends to be dry. I tried the straight-making spray for fine/med hair but it did nothing for my hair. However, I have since heard you have to use heat with that one to get results. Any advice for those of us that are adverse to using heat on our hair? Or better yet, it would be WONDERFUL if you created a No Frizz product especially for those of us who air dry our hair!

  18. The Living Proof Team says:

Hi Naomi – our products are very unique in that they require you to fully coat your hair which is very different than many other products you’ve likely used in the past. Try using you No Frizz first before the Silk Groom by Kiehl’s. Apply to damp hair and use enough to fully coat your hair from roots to ends. Comb through and add anything else you feel you may need. Then style as usual with a heat appliance. If this doesn’t give you the frizz-free results (even in high-humidity) we’d like to invite you in for a tutorial. As you may know we’re located in Cambridge so you’re welcome to pop by if you set up an appointment.

  19. loretta jones says:

First, I definitely think these products do what they say and that’s good!

What I learned was that since the conditioner doesn’t add any weight to my hair that I was getting a significant amount of shrinkage. So my hair was frizz free, and the shrinkage was noticeable especially when I used the conditioner as a leave in a couple times. So who knew that I would actually like some bit of product weight on my hair !!:>) So ironically when I purchased the duo I was more interested in the conditioner than the shampoo. Now, after using the products for over a week, I like the shampoo better and not the conditioner due to the shrinkage issue.

Some good points on the products:

Conditioner has great slip — when I’m in the shower the comb glides through my hair
Don’t need to use much of either product which is great since they are pricey
It seems that I get better performance from my other styling products (leave in, gel etc) when I use the shampoo. This could be my imagination, so I’ll keep on using them to see if this continues to be the case

So now my routine is: Living Proof Shampoo, leave in conditioner, no frizz curl defining for thick coarse hair and gel. (BTW – I’m a big fan of the styling products – have been using them for months!) With the shampoo at this point I would say I’ve taken the first few steps to becoming a fan but I probably need to finish the bottle and get more experience before I say that I absolutely love it.

BTW — I notice that Sephora is carrying a leave in conditioner which seems to be a separate product from the shampoo and conditioner. I’ll probably give this a shot and see if I still have the shrinkage issues with the leave in conditioner. Anyone tried the leave in?

I’ve been using Living Proof now for a few weeks and I have to say that it’s not quite there yet for me. But I’m an optimist, so I’m hoping to see some results soon. I have a couple of circumstances that I have yet to see much of on the blogs, so maybe that is part of the issue. I’m black and I have relaxed hair, and when I wash and blow dry my hair, I set it– it’s not a plain old blow dry. I use Kiehl’s Silk Groom before I put in living proof, then I set my hair and blow it dry. It looks great when it’s dry, but when I leave the house if there is any humidity in the air, it’s wrecked. I live in Boston and Thursday was a perfect example there was a drop of humidity in the air Thursday morning and by the time I got to work my hair was a frizzball. I am experimenting with the amount that I use– I wonder if it’s not enough. I’d be curious to know if you had any suggestions

  21. Jan Mason says:

I purchased the straight making styling cream for thick hair even though I have fine hair because my hair is color treated and damaged with split ends and frizzes. It worked fantastic from the very first time I used it. I was worried that it would be too heavy and weigh down my hair like the hundreds of other products I have tried over the years but it didn’t!! I am now purchasing the shampoo and I hope it works as well. Great product that works as advertised.

  22. Joanna Gasdogas says:

    Dear Living proof team:
I think your product is great and it delivers as it is advertised. I have however two comments to make. If your hair is anywhere past your shoulders, its not an economical product as you need an ample amount applied to the hair. It’s just too expensive for such small amount of product you get.

The other comment I have, is that it would be nice if the packaging was changed. The current plastic container being used is very tough and does not allow you to get every single drop out. Towards the end of the bottle, I find that I have to unscrew the entire cap and start banging it on my hand to get more product out. I’m amazed how much more product I get out this way, that would not have come out simply by squeezing the bottle. Please consider repackaging with a softer tube, like what a lot of cosmetics use, so that every bit can be squeezed out (like what toothpaste is stored in).

Otherwise great product. Will repurchase in future if improvements are made.

    Sincerely,
    Joanna

  23. The Living Proof Team says:

    Hi Argie,

We recommend that you try the Wave Shaping, Curl Defining Spray or Cream for your hair. You can use these formulas to blow your hair out straight and the holding polymer in the formula (meant to define curls) can actually help to maintain the straight blow out for very curly hair. Give us a call if you want to talk more about tips and tricks for unruly hair. 1-866-240-9933. Let us know how it goes!

  24. Argie Staples says:

    Dear Living Proof Team,

I’m having some trouble using Living Proof products. The Shampoo and Conditioner, plus the Straight Making Spray for fine to medium hair, leave my hair, which is color treated and seems especially dry this year, both limp and dull. Worse, my hair still curls rainy and high-humidity days, although I’m blow-drying it straight (it never goes stick-straight, no matter what products are used). I tried using the Shampoo and Conditioner with the Straight Making Cream for medium to thick hair, which made it curl a little less. But it still felt limp and looked dull. I use a firm hair spray called Freeze & Shine by Paul Mitchell; if I don’t the hair would curl even more. I’m not sure what to try next. Maybe I should be you “Nothing Works” control.

  25. The Living Proof Team says:

Jerilyn — feel free to see what other customers have to say and recommend but we would recommend you first try the Straight Making Cream for medium to thick hair. You may also benefit from the No Frizz Shampoo & Conditioner available now (and Leave-in coming out soon).

Your routine would go like this: wash and condition with No Frizz Shampoo & Conditioner, apply Leave-in as necessary focusing on dry/damaged areas. While hair is still damp, coat it fully with No Frizz Straight Making Cream and comb through. Then blow dry (no need for heat protexx). Then use No Frizz Straight Making Spray for fine to medium hair to mist over sections before running your curling iron through it – this adds an added layer of humidity-blocking PolyfluoroEster and will protect your hair from heat styling for a soft, smooth, frizz-free finish. Let us know how it goes!

  26. Jerilyn says:

    Hi Ladies,

Okay, I need help. I received a sample packet from Sephora. I’d never heard of the product before, so I went straight to the website to learn more about it. Wow! Was I impressed at the comments on the blog! I’m just not sure which product to order. I’m Black, with fine hair which is a medium texture (not coarse). I wash and blow dry my hair every other day, mainly because I live near the coast in the South, high humidity and my scalps sweats a lot. I also use SEVERAL hair products to get it to behave (please don’t laugh when I tell you my hair-washing routine). First, I wash and condition, towel dry, then I spray with Nexxus Luxe leave-in conditioner followed by one pump of DHC Hair Treatment, comb through, followed by a dollop of Paul Mitchell Flexible Mousse and a quick spritz of Nexxus Heat Protexx. Blow dry. Then a quick spray of Sebastian Shaper before I hot curl (I prefer a large curling iron to a flat iron — I like my hair flipped up and I get better results), and finally another quick spray of Sebastian Shaper after I comb out. My hair is chemically-relaxed AND color-treated (and surprisingly it hasn’t fallen completely off my head — I really try to condition well). Which No Frizz product should I use, and what can I eliminate from my oh-so-complicated morning routine? Pleas help!

  27. The Living Proof Team says:

Gisele – give us a call at 1-866-240-9933 and we’d be glad to speak with you and walk you through usage!

  28. Gisele says:

Yes I am using the shampoo, conditioner, spray and the creme. Am I not using enough or to much? My hair is very fine and I do color it. Any more hints would sure be nice.

  29. Karla says:

I LOVE LIVING PROOF!!! I am a beauty product junkie, and have tried every “no frizz” product on the market. I admit, I was very skeptical about your product. But, holy cow, this stuff works! My hair is silky, shiny, and absolutely no frizz! If you can conquer Nebraska humidity in the height of summer, that says a lot! I am also amazed that I can now go a day between washing my hair, and my hair looks just as good when I wake up in the morning. I would love to see you start making larger sizes of your product or a refill size to refill the smaller bottles.

Keep up the great work! :-)

  30. Cathe says:

    Another Favorable Comment!!

My daughter just felt my hair because she was sort of skeptical that if she tried it, her hair would be slightly greasy–well, another positive result. She actually told me my hair not only did NOT feel greasy, but that it actually felt soft. Please DO NOT EVER STOP MAKING THIS PRODUCT!

  31. Cathe says:

Just used this for the first time and….well, let me tell you somethin’ ’bout my hair…I was the girl who could never go into a pool or ocean because my hair was frizzy, and wavy and just has so many textures. Put them all together and it is not a very pretty visual. Over the years, I’ve learned to be a pro at blow drying my hair straight, but have always needed a ton of expensive product to get it that way. In addition, now as I am in total menopause, I’ve lost a lot of my hair and don’t want to damage it.
Today, I used NoFrizz and am so happy that, at long last, I’ve found one product that will do it all. My coarse hair is soft and has been blown out very nice indeed! I’ve noticed that some people have made comments about the odor. I’ve had no problem with an odor and the hair feels great! Now..if you MIT guys can just invent something that will replace hair lost during menopause………………….

  32. Sue Williams says:

First I tried the straight-making creme then I added the shampoo & conditioner; my hair has never behaved better! I used to have to use a flatiron to straighten my naturally curly/frizzy hair; now I just have to blowdry. My color-treated hair is getting healthier since I only have to wash it 2 or 3 times per week instead of daily. Love your products; hopefully the price will go down when your sales go up!
    A Very Satisfied Florida Senior!

  33. The Living Proof Team says:

Gisele – are you using the shampoo & conditioner with the styler? Check out our How To Videos for extra help.

  34. Gisele says:

I guess my hair is just hopeless. I tried the shampoo and conditioner and I am not having the results most are getting. I will keep trying though. It doesn’t help that I live in FL and it has rained everyday since I started using it.

  35. The Living Proof Team says:

Yes the product works great on bangs. Apply to bangs as you would the rest of your hair and blow dry as usual. No Frizz should keep your bangs frizz-free and smooth throughout the day.

  36. Lucy says:

does this product work on bangs too???

  37. Joanne Notman says:

Hm…..curl: these products will NOT stop naturally curly hair from curling in humidity, they will only keep it from frizzing……..this isn’t my thoughts at all. IT DOES STOP MY VERY THICK, CURLY HAIR FROM STOPPING CURLING!!! I blow dry, use the flat iron and am good for many day…..no curls at all…..sometimes I actually have to remind myself to brush my hair……I absolutely love this stuff…….I think that Rob….you should put me as your spokesperson/girl:)

I would love to order the shampoo…….but alas…..no delivery to Canada……come on Rob!!!

  38. Robyn says:

When I initially purchased and started using your Straight-Making Cream (and spray and treatment!!!), I absolutely loved them. Over time, however, my hair became very dry (”straw”-like) and not at all shiny. It just looked very dull and lifeless. Is there anything that I could have been doing wrong??? I have since gone back to silicone-based products (and love the shine again!), but miss the frizz-busting properties of your products– and still hope to find my perfect silky/shiny/straight solution!! Any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!

  39. robrobceo says:

Melissa, we’re working on larger sizes, so stay tuned!

  40. NoOceanInKansas says:

I have naturally curly hair that curls and frizzes in any type of humidity. I have been using the Straight Making Cream for several months now and am really happy with the no frizz results. When I saw the shampoo and conditioner were available, I ordered them as well and have been using them for almost a week. Overall, I am happy with all the Living Proof products. However, there are a couple of things I would like to comment on.
My hair is colored a light neutral blonde, and I’ve noticed that the color has turned a little brassy since I started using the shampoo. An overall comment about frizz vs. curl: these products will NOT stop naturally curly hair from curling in humidity, they will only keep it from frizzing. I would love to find a product that keeps my hair straight in humidity after it’s been flat-ironed, but this isn’t it.
I think the price on the shampoo/conditioner is too high, but I’ve paid that much in the past for a good quality shampoo so will probably buy it again.

  41. Melissa says:

Okay, let me start by saying I LOVE this stuff! I used to go through creams, sprays, $80 conditioners…all in the pursuit of the elusive ‘no frizz’ for my curls. I’m a CurlyGirl, and the silicone products don’t work without harsh shampoos to wash them out.

And then I hunted down No Frizz. I heard about this ‘new’ frizz control, and went to Sephora specifically to buy it…without even knowing the name. I bought it, but kept the receipt.

Well, suffice it to say that I’ve thrown everything else out, and am thrilled that you’re coming out with a conditioner, too — can’t wait to try it.

Only ONE small complaint…could you make it in bigger containers, please? I go through it pretty fast, and would love if it was a bit more eco-friendly. But otherwise…THANK YOU!!!!

  42. pat says:

for the first time in my life, my hair is manageable…I purchased the shampoo and conditioner, and now all I use is those two and the no frizz spray…no gels, no mousses, no hairspray.
this will make my summer so much more enjoyable…thanks

  43. robrobceo says:

Maureen, the Shampoo & Conditioner will NOT supercede your need for the styling products. You still need the stylers to keep the frizzies at bay. Thanks for the feedback on the fragrance. Its such a tough thing to try and find one that everyone loves. Let us know what you think of the new products once you have a chance to try. Thanks. Rob, CEO

  44. Maureen says:

Will using the shampoo and conditioner supercede the need for the straightening cream, or will the leave-in product still be required to combat the frizzies? Great project by the way. My only suggestion is that you work on the fragrance a bit. It smells like bug spray when I first put it on!

    Thanks.

  45. robrobceo says:

Erica, give us a call at 866-240-9933 Monday – Friday from 8 am – 6 pm. Jessie can walk you through some tips and if you’re up to it come into our evaluation salon. Thanks, Rob

  46. Erica says:

I was wondering if you have tested this product on Hassidic hair, and if so how did the test hair respond?? I have LONG, THICK, COARSE, Hassidic hair(which I have learned is a hairdresser’s nightmare) and decided to purchase No Frizz after reading this blog. I used it for the first time today and although the curls are defined, my hair still looks “frizzy.” I tend to over use products because of my hair texture so I do not think it is not that I am not using enough. If you any ideas please let me know, and like Caroline (message on 6/30/2009) I work in Cambridge and would be more than willing to meet in regards to pointers or to use my hair as a tester. Thank you- Erica

  47. Melissa says:

Not a fan!! expensive and I found it to work NO better than a store bought product for half the price. Very disappointed.

  48. robrobceo says:

Nancy, I promise with the legions of fans out there like you, this product will be around FOREVER! Thanks for the support.

    Rob, CEO

  49. Nancy says:

I wish this product had been around when I was a teenager and my nick name was “frizzle top!”
I have long, fine yet thick (and kinda corse) curly hair. One feature I have noticed is the product has a “curl memory” effect. I often wear my hair pulled back in hats due to working with horses or when cycling or gardening.
In the old days before your product I would have to restyle my curls with a styling product and wet fingers since my hair would be made fuzzy with hair ties and hat pressure. I would also get a lot of build up by doing this.
Now my hair rebounds within about 2 minutes into great curls as if I never had a hat on or had it pulled back in ties. It really is terrific. Whatever you do…DO NOT…repeat…DO NOT STOP MAKING THIS PRODUCT.

  50. RUTH HOUSMAN says:

Hi, I have totally curly hair that does frizz and my whole life I have experienced anguish about my hair, mainly because our society has favored straight, no frizz locks, and so I have imbibed that cultural norm and also, I have to say, I do envy those who can swim and never fear, wash and come out looking not only good, but extra terrific, in ways that for me, each time, require the skills of an expert hair dresser. I was once actually refused by a hair dresser who said his salon couldn’t handle my hair. I felt so bad. Like a freak. When I get my hair done, everyone says, WOW, your hair looks so great and when I don’t, I know how people are thinking. So hair had become a big “issue” in my life, my whole life.

OK. I bought your cream product and went off to France. I washed, used the cream, and voila, I looked cute, in ways I hadn’t experienced before. (I didn’t have the videos but now see them on line and this is so great, because I will have a better idea how to use the products.) In France, I didn’t have access to a hair dryer and besides, I do a lousy job generally, the old way. My hair continues to curl, but honest, it looks very cute, and I just styled it wet with my hand. And I wore a hat, over the top, which I had some trouble “styling”. I did the same on my return. People told me here that I look so “cute”. What did I do to my hair? Now I know I need tips on how to do this better but this is a great start, and I feel so hopeful. I bought the wave product and haven’t used it yet, but I have used the cream and truly, like the results. After sleeping on my hair, I wake and it looks less than optimal, so despite your words about not having to wash, I simply wetted it down, using the cream, and going about my day, and yes, I felt really attractive and comments supported this. So… YOU HAVE GIVEN ME NEW HOPE!

I hope there will be a way to get a bigger bottle, because, even in watching the videos, it’s obvious people have to use a lot of this product to get the desired results, and that means, we need a bigger bottle. So think about this. Your “regulars” could use a boost. Certainly I will buy this product since it’s the best I have yet seen on the market. And I am going to try the shampoo though I do like the Kerastase products for my hair. Who knows? You have made a convert of me! Don’t stop production!

My husband is an MIT biologist. I think this is terrific!

Caroline, we have used the product on many African American hair. It works great when used in combination with the right moisturizing products. The product is a styler so it will last from one shampoo to another and we would love to have you come to the labs. We do salon testing 5 days a week right here in Cambridge. E-mail jessie@livingproof.com and she can get you all set up. Thanks for writing.

Karen, thanks for the question. The product does work on Brazilian processed hair. We’ve had a lot of customers use it in combination. Take care.

  53. Caroline says:

    Hi
So does this really work for very Thick Coarse African hair? I grew out my relaxed hair and i am now struggling with trying to maintain my natural hair. Problem is when i wash with a leave in conditioner and blow dry my hair followed by flat ironing using John Frieda’s freeze free serum , my hair only looks good for one day then POOOOOOOF the next day it looks like a birds nest (w/o the eggs). Have you tested this product on course African hair? And how long does it last? I would be more than happy to come into your labs for a test i don’t work too far from you.

    Fuzzy head!

  54. Karen Anspach says:

Hi, I just discovered your product through an article in the Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel and am excited about trying it – but first I want to check and make sure it will be safe for my Brazilian processed hair. Yes, my hair is VERY frizzy (less so since the Brazilian but still a little) and I live in South Florida. Thanks for providing this wonderful blog; I tried to see if this question was asked already but was unable to, so hope it isn’t a repeat.

  55. The Living Proof Team says:

    Hi Linda,

From how you’re describing your hair – it sounds like you should be using the Wave Shaping spray for fine to medium hair. Apply 10-15 sprays on your short, fine, curly hair while it’s still damp and blow dry with a diffuser or let curls air dry. If you’re not getting great results – it could be one of two things: either you’re using the wrong formula or you’re not using enough of the product to fully saturate your damp hair. Feel free to call us at 1-866-240-9933 and we’d be more than happy to talk about these two possibilities. And, as always, we can exchange or return any product purchased here on livingproof.com 100% hassle free.

We hope to hear from you soon.

  56. Linda Heller says:

Oops, I haven’t read all the comments but I must be in the minority of people for whom my product, the styling spray, is not working. I live in Maine. We have just had a long stretch of rainy, humid weather. I have short, fine, very curly hair. I like to use a styling brush in the front for something resembling curly bangs. However no matter how much of the product I use, within moments of being outside, I am just as curly/frizzy as ever. Unless I was led to purchase the wrong product, it isn’t working for me. Sorry.

  57. Joanne N says:

okay so I’m in your face……so to speak, but must tell you how great this product is. I know you’re saying Canada isn’t humid….well…..come here in the summer and see what humidty is like!!! I start out well each day only to have curlies appear along with frizz, frizz, frizz. Since using Living Proof they have disappeared. Yesterday was hot and humid with storm clouds lurking and where was I…..in the garden sweating up a storm…….I kept thinking okay so now it’s going to fail……..I walked by my car and voila…..straight hair, with only a little curve where it touched my head and the wet tree and still nothing major……..Must admit I do love this stuff and can be their ‘NATIONAL SPOKESPERSON’….in Canada……..of course!

  58. Maria says:

You are not the first to design silicone-free frizz products. Profoundbeauty has been selling Frizz-zero for years. They were the first.

  59. Joe Zachary says:

I can’t tell you how wonderful this product is!!!! I have spent hundreds of dollars trying everything on the market. Nothing even begins to work. I have always had a big problem with my hair. Of course, we move to florida. I figured I would just have to put my hair up for the rest of my life. I have beautiful long hair and it is such a shame. I saw your web site while just web cruizing. I almost just moved on. I decided to try just one more product and then just Learn to live with it. IT WORKS!! The humidity is at 98% and my hair is soft and frizz free. It is a miricle. I have already sent the site to all of my nieces who, unfortunatly, have my problem. Thank You!!!! Joe

  60. Ann says:

I don’t know if my comment will help people who say their hair looks and feels like straw after using No Frizz, but that is exactly the way my hair looked after just blow drying it. (I used the straight making styling cream for med. to thick hair.) My hair was not shiny, the split ends really showed, it looked coarse, and it seemed to stick out all over the place. Then, I used my flat iron on it, section by section, and each section was immediately transformed into shiny, smooth, soft, silky hair, with my usual trouble spots (stubborn and random waviness and serious cowlicks that get much worse with exposure to humidity) suddenly being under control and smooth. My unscientific thought is that the chemical that coats the hair shafts responds (melts?) when the hot iron is applied. The transformation on my hair is pretty amazing. So, if any of you are having that apparently bad result after just blow drying your hair or letting it air dry, try using a hot curling iron or flat iron, and see if it transforms your hair the way it does mine.

I’m really thrilled with what I can now do with my hair. Now it looks as good or better than my stylist’s results, and I’ve never previously been able to achieve that kind of result. And it lasted the whole day yesterday, when it was exposed to high humidity and rain. I’m very pleased and thankful to have found this product.

  61. Patti says:

I tried the straight making formula for coarse hair and it made my hair dry and bushy. I was given a refund and was very pleased with the concern and service. I decided to give it another try, being more
careful blowing it and using quite a bit more product. It still curls and puffs in humid weather but it has a smoother texture which I like. So…the issue now is that one 4 oz bottle barely lasts a month and at 24.00 a bottle, it’s a very expensive habit. I have very short hair but it’s extremely thick, frizzy, and curly, in addition to being all gray, which makes it even more coarse. Have you guys considered lowering the price or offering a larger size for the same price? A quarter size dollop barely saturates my bangs! Imagine how much I have to use each time to cover my whole head.

  62. Lori says:

I have fine to medium hair and used No Frizz straightener for the first time. My hair is incredibly smooth and silky and what is rare is the fact that I didn’t use my straightening iron — no need. My hair seemed super easy to style. I can’t wait to try the No Frizz wavy. Make more products please! I’m impressed, and will be telling my friends. Need a rep in the Pacific NW (the land of drizzle)?

    Thank you. Lori

  63. Lisa says:

Hi –a few suggestions–the bottles are so similiar in design making it too easy to purchase the wrong formula off the store shelves; create an insert or expand the directions to include things like “the cumulative effect”; how to combine different products from the line for different types of hair, etc.

basically–all the key info contained in this blog. if i didn’t log on so many times, I would have no idea how to use the product/s. which I am still trying to figure out. still frzzy after many purchases.

    thanks

  64. robrobceo says:

Carey, here’s what I suggest. I would replace the Paul Mitchell Super skinny serum with the No Frizz Straight Making Spray. For application, fully saturate damp hair with the Straight Making Spray, then apply your other products as you normally would. With the spray, you can’t overuse it, but if you don’t fully coat the hair you won’t get the protection from the humidity. Also start as soon as possible. The technology has a cumulative effect, so the more you use it the more your hair resists humidity. Please please please let me know how it works in Mexico! Rob

  65. Dana says:

The past few weeks in west Tennessee have been a nightmare for anyone prone to having the curse of frizzy hair, the humidity has been equal to that you would find in a tropical rainforest. I have put the Stright Making Styling Cream for coarse hair to the test and it WON!!! I have discovered that if I use it in conjunction with using the styling spray on my hair just before I use my straightening iron I have even better no frizz results. So..when is the shampoo and conditioner due to be available for purchase?

  66. I read about Living Proof products in a few magazines earlier this year and I was intrigued because I live in Austin, TX that has high humidity. I ride the bus to and from work every week day so I was looking for a product that could keep my hair from being frizzy from the time I left my house until I arrived at work one hour later. I tried Living Proof (for both straight making and wave shaping, curl defining) and I have been very pleased with the results. One day not long after I started using Living Proof, when I got off my first bus to transfer to a second bus in downtown Austin, a total stranger who rides my first bus came up to me and told me how much he liked my new hair do–that it was quite an improvement.

I just placed an order online for the Straight Making No Frizz styling spray, cream, and treatment. By having a variety of Living Proof products at the ready, I’ll be able to keep two at home and take one with me for touch ups during the day because in addition to riding the bus to and from work, I also walk during my lunch hour and with the temperatures in Austin already reaching the mid-90’s, combined with the high humidity, I need to restyle my hair before I return to work.

  67. Lisa says:

Calling all Italian-Afro Girls! Have you found a N.F. combo that works in the rain and humidity?

  68. Carey says:

    Question for Rob:

I don’t have a normal hair situation, so I’d like your opinion before I purchase any products. I wear a hairpiece that covers my crown, with the length just above mid back. It it human hair with a thick texture and a slight curl. I’ve become a master of making it feel/work/look as good as it can, but I always struggle with frizz and tangles. I’ve tried a million products and what works the best is:

1st – paul mitchell super skinny serum
2nd – nexxus curl energee leave in conditioner
3rd – paul mitchell super clean sculpting gel

It’s taken me a while to figure out this combination, but if I use all 3 of them together, I can get through the day with minimal hair trouble.

Last year I went to Costa Rica and the humidity killed my hair and made it miserable for me to deal with – I had to keep it in a bun to keep my sanity. As I am going to Mexico next week and would hate to repeat the difficulty…I am hoping you can suggest which product I should use, and how I should use it. Creams have never worked well with my hair – tangles and frizz galore!

Note: – I would LOVE LOVE LOVE straight hair, but with the Asian human hair I buy, it never comes straight…there is always a wave. I choose to wear it with a slight curl because it makes it look more natural and it helps to avoid tangles/frizz (if I blow it straight it gets really poofy and the ends will tangle incessantly).

Thanks for any recommendations you have.

    Carey

  69. Danya says:

FINALLY… I have tried sooooo many different products to tame my frizz nothing and I mean NOTHING worked my hair always looked like a frizzy mess. I have used Living Proof straight making for medium to course hair for about 2 weeks now and I am amazed.. totally amazed, so is my husband (who never notices anything) 2 days ago someone actually came up to me and asked which salon I use. I haven’t been to a salon in about 3 months. Talk about boosting my self esteem. Also I should mention that i live in Florida where it is very humid almost all of the time and I work outside. By the end of the day… maybe just a little frizz but nothing like the all day mess I had before. I am so impressed with this product that I am going to tell my daughter to give it a try. Oh and one other thing… I am a cancer surviver and when my hair grew back… about a year ago it was frizzier than ever… now I have the hair back that I had when I was in my 20’s. Thank you thank you thank you for a wonderful product. I cant imagine that I will ever stop using it

  70. Sandy says:

I purchased the living proof straight treatment for coarse hair. It helped a little, but in my opinion, it is all about the styling methods and tools one uses. If you are proficient at really pulling your hair taut while blow drying and straightening, that is the key. Plus, for really thick, coarse hair, the product is cost prohibitive, since you have to use a lot and the container is so small. I will not be purchasing it again.

    Hi Linda,

Our team of scientists here at Living Proof are working hard every day in discovery and formulation. If you sign up we’ll make sure you’re one of the first to know when our next breakthrough products debut.

  72. The Living Proof Team says:

    Hi Folli,

We’re sorry to hear about these results. Try watching the How-To video on the product detail page for usage instructions. You really have to coat your hair when damp. Unlike most anti-frizz products you can’t be afraid of using too much. Also, we highly recommend using a heat appliance with the product. The results will be much better. If this still does not work, please call us at 1-866-240-9933 and we’d be happy to provide additional tips or provide a full refund.

  73. Folli says:

OMG. I finally purchased the straight making cream, although I have thin hair. Yesterday I blow dried, this morning I let it air dry. My hair has NEVER been FRIZZIER. I’m so disappointed, and shocked. My hair is thin, a little below my shoulders, and has natural wave (unfortunately). Never processed, color-treated, damaged. HELP!

  74. Janis says:

Lisa, I don’t have an afro only because I have very long hair, but I know what you mean when you talk about having an Italian Afro.

I’m wondering if any other women with that sort of hair have used and like No Frizz. From the marketing and the videos on the website, it really seems like it is made for women with, well … whiter hair or straightened African hair and not really for those of us with the in-between stuff. For me, I love silicones and they never weigh my hair down. I’d have to take a bath in the stuff before my hair would calm down.

So although I’m curious about No Frizz, I’m also REALLY not sure if it’s for me at all. I lke silicones just fine, my hair NEVER goes limp (I’d have to flatten it in an industrial press), and I’m not sure if I want to use something that doesn’t work and play well with silicones since I like silicones just fine.

Anyone else with classic Italian Hair (you know what I mean :-) — the pushy stuff that gets WIDE rather than long) that likes this stuff?

  75. The Living Proof Team says:

    Hi Kate,

Please feel free to call us at 1-866-240-9933 – our Customer Service team would be glad to help you sort out usage for best results. And, if you’re still not satisfied we’ll give you a full refund.

  76. Linda says:

Hi, Are you going to make shampoo and conditioner also?

  77. Kate says:

Hi, I just purchased no frizz for curly hair. I have fine hair, but went for the creme vs the spray because my cork screw curls have severe frizz. I have used the product twice so far. I have two issues with the product. You have to use a tremendous amount of the product if you have long hair. Although the large amount used doesn’t weigh your hair down or a make it look greasy, it is on the expensive side. Alas, I still experienced a significant amount of frizz. It’s May in NJ so we are not at the height of humdity. I was disappointed because I had read all the comments on your blog and my expectations were high. If you need a hopeless case of frizzys to develop a anti frizz product that works on fine frizzy hair I’m yours!

  78. Lisa says:

    Hi Gina-
    I have an Italian Afro;)–
which products did you use and how? any particuliar shapoo amd conditioner and/or other styling products/appliance? I am still struggling to get it right.
    thanks!

    Lisa

  79. Gina says:

WOW! I have spent thousands of $$ on my hair- from Japanese straightening to every product known to womankind to control my “Irish Afro” This product is amazing- after one week the difference is incredible. Thank you!!!!!

  80. The Living Proof Team says:

    Hi Lisa,

At this time we do not have testers of a shampoo and conditioner. Hang tight.

  81. Lisa says:

How can I get a tester of the shampoo and conditioner?
    thanks,
    Lisa

  82. Amy says:

Hi I just tried the Straight Making No Frizz styling treatment for coarse hair and I am amazed! Three weeks ago I made the mistake of getting a perm..which totally FRIED my long blond hair. My hair is colored but only mildy bleached. I have worn my hair up or worn a hat ever since the perm! I actually thought of shaving my head! I really lost all hope! I put the Straight Making product on and then blew dry my hair. It was totally straight but still dry of course since it was so badly damaged.. I ran a hot curling iron thru it and my hair is soft, silky and looks great!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I also bought the Wave Shaping, Curl Defining No Frizz product and I can’t wait to try it. This stuff is truly a miracle! You are a GENIUS!! Thanks again. Also I love the way the product and my hair smells.

  83. As one of the first people to try out your products, I received several free products from Living Proof and I thought I’d share the wealth and give them away via my blog at http://www.lookrichbitch.blogspot.com

I can’t wait until your shampoo and conditioner come out! I’m using the tester ones I received. Love them.

  84. Rhonda says:

After initially being elated with the results, after three months of use I’m calling it quits. My hair got drier and drier, despite having switched to the cream formula. It didn’t even feel like “hair” anymore. I’ve discontinued use for the past 3 or 4 days, reverting to my Bumble and bumble products and my hair is shiny and soft (albeit a bit frizzy) again.

For your stats, I thought you’d be interested to know that I have my hair permanently colored with partial foils.

I’m sorry that NO FRIZZ did not work out for me – it seemed like a dream come true at first. I’m a product junkie so will try new formulas that you offer in the future.

  85. Christine says:

I recently bought and tried the styling creme on my 3B curly hair. I am a product junkie and have tried everything out there and spent a fortune in the process. This stuff is amazing! It is the first product that I can use by itself and get amazing results. My curls are well defined. less poufy. and softer. I even brought it to Mexico with me last week and it help up in the humidity. I have no product build-up and I condition wash my hair three times a week. My only complaint – I need bigger bottles at a lower cost! The four ounces is a great travel size, but can you please make some bigger bottles. Thanks!

  86. Catherine Ford says:

I read about this product in a magazine and couldn’t wait to give it a try. It sounded like the miracle I had been waiting for my entire life. I have coarse, very thick wavy hair. I tried the product that is for coarse hair but I did not have any success. The amount of frizz that it has removed is the same as other products I have used. If I try to leave my hair wavy, my hair is stiff and looks like a bush. If I use a hair dryer and round brush, the product is difficult to work with and I cannot get my hair as smooth as I do with the products I have been using.

  87. Lisa says:

    Hi again-
I am now using the no frizz Treatment along with the straight making spray. It definitely does not frizz and I do shampoo less often, but I can’t believe how dry it is. I have fine to medium naturally curly, kinky, frizzy hair, with highlights that I blow out straight.

Why is it that some are raving about the silkiness of their hair with no frizz? Even when I use a curling iron, it still looks very dry, almost “straw-like” and it is difficult to get a comb through it.

    Thanks so much,
    Lisa

  88. Lizard says:

I have to agree with most postings on this site, I absolutely LOVE this product! I have tried every straightner and frizz-free product out there and this is the first to actually do what it says it will. It sounds silly but it has been kinda life changing for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  89. Miss Nicky says:

Hi, my name is Nicky and I’m a hair product-aholic. I started doing hair long ago when it was still called a beautician’s license and have seen and tried everything on God’s good Earth. The No Frizz Straight Spray is by far the finest product I’ve ever gotten my grubby little hands on.

I have fine hair that weighs down to the picture of a dirty dishrag at even the hint of too much product. I’ve been coloring it for so long that it takes a childhood photo to jog my memory into recalling my natural base.

This spectacular spray gives me smooth, sleek, ultra-shiny locks and my style swings unbelievably. I LOVE IT, and in turn I love you all for creating what I’ve been looking for all these years.

I constantly get complemented on my hair and I eat it up, the confidence that comes along with the purchase of this super-spray is amazing.

Were I still in the business, I’d throw every other product in my salon out and stock it with Living Proof only, but alas… I will have to use my powers of persuasion and my good old big mouth to spread the word about your hair-storical invention. Congrats on a job well done!

Just one thing… Can we get some bigger bottles???

  91. Ann Hanson says:

No Frizz DID NOT WORK FOR ME!

I have fine hair that blows up into a frizzy mess at the first sign of humidity.

I purchased the product and put it to the acid test: a week long trip to the Mexican Riviera — a place well-known for heat and humidity.

I shampooed and used No Frizz for about 4 of the 7 days — and I might as well have used NOTHING. I had the same amount of frizziness as usual. I gave up after the 4th day, and my hair looked no different than when I was using No Frizz.

It would have been nice if it did work, but I know that I’ve wasted $25.

  92. Stephanie says:

I first saw Living Proof No Frizz on the Early Show last week. I ordered the product on line. I must prefice this by saying that I have wavy frizzy hair that I blow dry straight every other day. It looks great in dry weather, but when is the air really dry unless you live in Colorado! I live in Connecticut, on the water. I recieved No Frizz yesterday and tried it this morning before I went out to dig up my flower beds. Again, I live on the water and digging in the dirt even on a dryday will work up a good sweat. I just came in the house after 4 hours. No frizz. Not even at the hair line even though it feels wet from all the work. This is the first time in my life I can say a product actually does what it says it does. My hair is straight, soft and shinning. I should go sell this product to all the salons in Connecticut. It’s a true winner.

  93. Carole Bys says:

I have tried every frizz free hair styling product under the sun. I have finally, finally found something that works. I travel to the Caribbean on vacation a lot and seriously having such horrible hair the entire time took away from my vacation. I also used to run in the rain to get away from the humidity. Now I don’t even use an umbrella if its raining just a little. This is so amazing, I am truely pleased with your product. Now if you could only make it smell a bit better, my 9 year old would use it too on her long unruly hair but she hates the smell.

Emily, you had me in laughing out loud tonight when I read your story. Thanks for spreading the word and Mt. Olympus by the way is in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Enjoy you new hair!

    Rob
    CeO

  96. Emily says:

Let me start by saying this: I have lived in Michigan all my life and have recently relocated to Louisiana. Any girl (or long haired guy) from either state will tell you that frizz free hair is a myth. If you have even a tiny bit of curl in your hair, or even sometimes if you don’t, forget it. You’re doomed to envy all those people from dry places like Arizona… for the rest of your life. So you’d better get used to it.

Well, due to a friend’s influence I recently started wearing/caring about makeup again. I was placing an online order for some Sephora products, and before I checked out they offered me three free samples. One of the samples was Living Proof. I was skeptical about it, but not really all that interested in any of the other samples, so I decided to try it. Another person trying to disprove the myth… goodness, they might as well claim to be Zeus. Well, a few days later my stuff arrived, and about time too. Between placing the order and getting it, I had gotten a haircut. A very bad haircut. On a good day I looked like something out of the 80s, in a very bad way. On a humid day, I was likely to freighten young children in Wal-Mart. The layers would NOT behave for anything and forget trying to make the bangs work out. I might as well just shave my head. That night I decided to try out this “MIT-made frizz stuff” that promised so much.

This is the point at which I must say that Rob, I’m convinced that you are Zeus, and you’re hiding it from us all, and if that’s the case, can I come visit Mt. Olympus, since I figured out your secret? I had to go to Sephora and get some the very next morning because I couldn’t live without. I even called my sister who lives in Washington state (Also very humid) to tell her about it, and emailed all my cousins in Michigan. Later that night my boyfriend and I went out to dinner with another couple. The woman is a good friend of mine, but I’m generally really jealous of her, mostly because she’s got a dancer’s body and Angelina Jolie’s face. The whole night all she kept telling ME that MY hair looked so nice and that she was on the verge of cutting hers off because it was “so dry and unmanagable.” I gave her the other sample packet (for curly hair, which she has) and told her to try it, all the while feeling pretty good about myself. Imagine Angelina Jolie asking YOU how on earth you make your lips look so full. That’s pretty much what happened. So, thank you Oh great Living Proof gods and goddesses.

And I’m serious about that visit to Mt. Olympus, Rob…

  97. Pattie says:

I went ahead and paid way too much to try yet another no frizz product. I was going on vacation to Australia and decided I did not want to look terrible on the beach, well to my surprise and $25.00 later, no change in my hair what so ever !! I wish I could say it worked as I would love to have nice hair on humid and beach days. But I guess I will keep having to wear my hats! Sure wish there was a money back guanentee, way too much money to just throw away.

  98. Lisa says:

The people that work for Living Proof are sooo nice! I had a problem the sephora in my area does not carry these poducts yet and I really wanted to try a sample, so I emailed Rob and he sent me a sample within 2 days it arrived! Usually its a huge hassle and you have to talk to someone who isnt very nice and doesnt really care and it takes 2 or more weeks to receive a product that you purchased, not true with living proof I received a response to my email that same day and from the actual ceo of the company! While that was amazing so was the product I received, my curly, frizzy, nasty hair is now beautiful and straight with barely any effort on my part. To anyone who is dissapointed in this product I will gladly take it off your hands lol :) . Like all of the others I too wish we could get more product for the price but I will purchase when I can afford to do so. Thank you Rob and Living Proof.

  99. Dana says:

Well, I have to be honest and say that I was disappointed in NoFrizz. I ordered the NoFrizz for medium to coarse hair and it made my hair dull, dry, and completely horrible feeling to the touch plus the smell reminded me of bug spray. Also, I didn’t notice much change in how my hair responded to highly humid days. My search will continue.

  100. Michele says:

I have to agree. I love the product, but can’t afford to use as often as I would like. I easily go through the larger size bottle in less than a month – and that’s going at least a day or two between shampoos. A larger bottle would be wonderful IF the price stayed the same. When you add in shipping cost and having to remember to re-order so often – it’s almost not worth it. I know the product is selling great right now because it’s new and does work – but just like adding freeze-dried strawberries to Special K – other companies will eventually come up with a similar product, and customers will try it if the price is right – especially in this economy. Customer loyalty = success

  101. Colleen says:

I agree that the offer of a larger bottle at a discount would be great! I have thick, coarse hair & end up going through about 1 tube a month. That gets super pricey, and has forced me to ration the product and only use a couple times a week rather than daily.
But let me tellya, I LOVE the No Frizz Cream for straight Thick/Coarse hair. Before finding this, I’d tried an insane number of products that didn’t work at all. My hair always looked like it had a fine “fuzzy” layer over it. No Frizz has erased the fuzzies & given me sleek shiny hair! And I’ve also discovered that the more I use it, the less frizz I have. I was surprised that some people are complaining about the scent ~ I think it has a nice crisp clean scent. Thanks, No Frizz, for creating a miracle!

  102. Gia says:

YES! I agree. Not sure how I will keep up with my no frizz addiction. Will help be on the way? Larger bottles or discounts?! Thanks…

  103. Tina says:

I found this website because I was looking for something that would help extend the time between washing my hair. I have thick, long hair. My roots gets oily if I don’t wash it for a day, but the ends of my hair are still dry and gets wrecked the most. I wanted something that would keep help my dry ends from being frizzy while not weighing down my roots.

I went to Sephora and bought a 4 oz bottle for $24. I bought the Straight Making Treatment for Thick/Coarse hair. I tried it immediately and loved it. I have to use alot more than the instructions tell me. I have noticed that my roots don’t get oily as fast and my ends are alot smoother. I can go longer between when I wash my hair and hopefully that will help the damage of my ends.

The only gripe I have is that it’s alot of money to put down on such a small bottle. Anyone with Thick/Coarse hair is going to be using alot more product than what is recommended. I wish there were bigger sized bottles because I will be running out in a couple of days. Please consider selling bigger bottles! It’ll create less bottles ending up in landfills! Thanks!

    goo luck

Frizzy hair has been my enemy for as long as I can remember–until now. The No Frizz products work very well for me; I am so pleased that scientists at MIT decided “apply their smarts” to the beauty industry.

I can’t wait to see what else they come up with!

    Cheers!

LOVE IT!!! Today was my first full-on humidity test (rained all day), and at the end of the day, my naturally curly hair was as straight as it was this morning after Chi-ing it. This stuff is magic! Only thing I’m not crazy about is the smell, but it’s well worth it for the results. I use Hempz shampoo and conditioner, and it all works very well together. My hair felt amazing!
    Highly recommended!

  108. Kathy says:

I tried the straight making styling cream for medium to thick hair (I took the quiz and this was the recommended product) only once, but I am disappointed. It has not been humid, so I could not really put the “no frizz” feature to the test, but my hair feels DIRTY and the ends still dry. Plus I couldn’t get the style right. I did not use any other styling products, just my usual salon shampoo and conditioner. And I used a little less than the recommended quarter-size amount as my hair is only chin length. I think maybe it is too heavy of a product for my hair. I will try it once more then probably put it in the cabinet with all the other failed products.

  109. End the Frizz says:

Hi Gia- we’re so thrilled that you’re loving your No Frizz. We hear you about the sizes. Unfortunately at this time we do not have larger sizes but stay tuned… we do hope to be able to accommodate your request for larger sizes, we’ve heard a lot of similar feedback from others.

  110. Mary says:

I am in agreement with a few of the recent posts. I really love the straightening cream, but the one for curls/waves isn’t working for me. My hair is still freezy and it feels crunchy which I was hoping it wouldn’t. My hair is a few inches beyond my shoulders, so I’ve used about 2 quarter sized dollops. Is that too much?
I had high hopes for this product since the straightening cream worked so well but this isn’t as good.

  111. Gia says:

Loving this new product–it is a must have for frizzy hair! I wonder why the size is only 4oz? It is frustrating and wish there was a large quantity to purchase. I would rather have a bigger more expensive size than to have to buy little ones for $24. Just a thought…Am I missing a jumbo size somewhere on your site? I purchased from Sephora. Thanks for the great product and think big! :-)

  112. Mo says:

I am having a similar issue to Melissa who posted on 3/29. Despite using lots of the wavy treatment for thick/coarse hair with and without other styling products I have lots of “fly aways” and loose hairs that do look like frizz. At least, my waves and texture don’t look smooth. I have very thick hair which I color due to signifcant (30-35%) grays. I am so frustrated as I love my hair cut, but HATE the flyaway, frizzy looks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  113. Michelle says:

This product is amazing. I’ve tried every frizz fighter on the market – Frizz Ease, Ojon, Chi; you name it, I’ve tried it. Nothing worked. I used the fine to medium spray, and the results were practically miraculous. My hair was sleek and smooth from root to tip. I finally have the straight, healthy-looking hair I’ve always dreamt of having. Instead of spending time and money making pretty packages to sell a product that essentially does nothing, you’ve created something that actually works. I’m so grateful to Living Proof for finding a real solution to frizzy hair. I can’t wait to see what problem you guys will solve next.

  114. Mary says:

LOVE this product. I stumbled on it while on the Sephora website. I have curly/wavy hair so I’m always in the market for new products. I ordered the product thinking I bought the wave shaping/curl defining cream, but I guess I put the straightening cream in my cart instead. Rather than return it, I thought I would give it a try and I’m glad I did. I don’t normally straighten my hair as it is too much effort. No Frizz made the job of straightening so much easier than normal, and it took less time with a better outcome. On top of that, I had many compliments since using this product.

I’ve since ordered the wave/curl version and I’m hoping I like it just as much.

  115. robrobceo says:

Mary Ellen, suflate-free shampoos are easier than non-silicone conditioners.

On the shampoo, I’d recommend Fekkai Au Naturale or Aveda’s Damage Remedy. Both are very good formulas.

On the conditioners, you can use a product with silicones as its nearly impossible to find one without. If you’re finding greasiness, it may be that the conditioner is just too heavy. Both Fekkai Au Naturale and Aveda’s Damage Remedy have nice conditioners. Given them a try.

Also, be on the look out for a No Frizz Shampoo & Conditioner in the coming months.

Let us know if you need anything else.

  116. Melissa says:

Advice please? Due the time difference it would be hard for me to call in.

I have been using the thick hair treatment for curly/wavy.
I have very, very thick curly/wavy/crazy hair that comes just past my shoulders. (My pony tail is much wider than the thick/coarse hair example but my hair is not really damaged.) I have a layered cut.

This product is excellent alone for the days when I want to style straight. I don’t feel the need for a silicone serum or even hair spray after blow drying.

I am having issues with my curly/wavy days. I have tried it alone and followed the instructions carefully. I have tried it over leave in conditioner and under styling products.(not all at the same time) I still seem to get a good amount of fly aways and frizz. Not so much fuzzy frizz but a lot of loose hairs that mount up to a frizzy look.

Has anyone tried or suggest trying layering the spray with the cream treatment? I was thinking maybe if I used the spray when the hair was damp and then adding in the treatment and scrunching as I would with a mouse or gel?

Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks Melissa in Phoenix AZ.

  117. Mary Ellen says:

I’ve been using No Frizz since it’s debut on QVC and am very happy. When I recently purchased another bottle at Sephora I was told to use a sulfate-free shampoo and no silicone products. I didn’t realize how difficult it would be to find a sulfate-free shampoo that I like. I was very happy with the shampoo and conditioner I was using (Kerastase), but had problems with my hair looking greasy when I added No Frizz to the mix.

Is it really that important to use sulfate-free shampoo? If so, I would love to find some resources for high-quality shampoos/conditioners that are sulfate and silicone free. Thanks!

  118. End the Frizz says:

Hi Claudia–to clarify, use your Leave-in BEFORE your No Frizz for extra moisturizing and frizz control.

  119. Hello all.
Been eagerly awaiting for my Living Proof bottle to arrive.
It came today and was on time. As an Italian – Jew, I don’t have to tell you how incredibly unique my hair is. When its dry, its extreme frizz, as if a bark of a tree would be in 100 degree temperature. When water is applied to my hair, it becomes silky and amazing.
I wet it until soaked in the shower, then jump out and pat it dry with a towel, then throw in some styling gel to keep it looking wet.
I did some research on a 24 hour moisturizer, and found the living proof website.

I applied the living proof product, and now we wait to see how long my is without frizz.

If this works, im soooooo on board !

  120. claudia says:

I am confused by one of your responses to – oddly another Claudia poster. If I use leave-in conditioner for my dry, curly hair, should I use the leave-in conditioner BEFORE or AFTER using No Frizz???

  121. robrobceo says:

Ashelyn, thanks for the note. I wish I could tell you that No Frizz is the solution for you, but I think you might be disappointed. Given the way the technology works, its will not give your hair any wave (it just enhances what you have). On giving your hair more body side , we’re working on that problem with a new technology that will deliver on that front. So stay tuned if that’s your #1 hair concern.

    Take care,

  122. Ashelyn says:

Hi! So I’ve just discovered all the buzz about your product, and now I really want to run over to Sephora and see if they carry it!

However, I’m still a little hesitant about whether this would be a good product for me. I’m Asian with super fine, super straight hair and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, where it is very dry. Thus, I rarely have major frizz, especially not from moisture. If anything, any frizz is from the baby hairs from former, not fully grown out bangs. My hair can get pretty greasy so I am intrigued about the repellant aspect, as well as the color “pop” feature, but I’m curious if whether this product will help me coax some waves from my hair. I’m pretty sure I have absolutely no natural curl, especially in the dryness of Edmonton, but I’m always on the look-out for a product that will finally give me more freedom with my hair. Even with styling, my hair tends to go flat very quickly without the proper products or level of heat.

If anything, my hair is super flat so would No Frizz be able to add some body?

  123. End the Frizz says:

Hi Claudia — please do let us know how it goes. We believe that for hair like yours –dry and in need of extra conditioning– you will benefit from using your leave-in conditioners before your No Frizz.

  124. claudia says:

I have very kinky, frizzy hair and I have Japanese straightening done once a year before the summer months (which I am really happy with!). Right now, I have a lot of regrowth as I wait for my next appointment in May. I was counting on No Frizz to keep the new growth under control until then, but I have not had too much luck as of yet. I tried the straight making treatment which made my hair very “poofy” with no hold. I then tried the wave shaping treatment as well as the wave shaping cream. In all cases, my hair was very dull and not much frizz control. I have very dry hair and deep condition all the time. I also use a leave in conditioner as well as an iron smoother. I spoke to your customer service dept. yesterday and she suggested applying No Frizz after any of my leave in products, which I was not doing. I was saturating my hair with No Frizz first, then spraying in my leave in’s. Hopefully that is the reason for the product not doing the job for me. I will let you know what happens!

  125. robrobceo says:

Jaya, wow, you put No Frizz to the test. I’ve been to Trinidad and that is humidity! We’re so glad its working for you. Right now we don’t ship Internationally, so you’ll need to find a nice friend in the states to keep you in stock. All the best and enjoy your new hair.

  126. Jaya says:

I live in the Caribbean, the island of Trinidad where frizz is a given. Given weather, I have tried the ‘best’ no frizz products available, leaving me with the opinion that there is no such thing as ‘no frizz.’I learnt of your product from the Sephora email updates , so on a recent trip to the States I bought a bottle of straightening cream. This product is perfect!! No frizz, with the humidity here that is truly remarkable. My blow dry lasts for days, I hardly use my flat iron!! My only problem is when my stash finishes how do I get more!?! Do you ship internationally???

  127. Alice says:

I saw No Frizz in Allure and also in my Sephora catalog. I took a group of friends to the local store with my to buy it. I purchased the Fine to Medium Straight Making Spray; and I was amazed to say the least. The first night I used it, I went out, and when I got home I expected to look frazzled. My hair looked EXACTLY THE SAME as it did when I walked out the door, that has NEVER happened.

The strange thing is though, I just returned from Florida, and my hair looked like it used to the whole time I was there. I used the same amount; used no other styling products, (same as at home: Midwest) used the same brush, same flat iron; and absolutely could not get my hair to look right. (I’d been rained on at home and it didn’t affect my hair at all; been in humidity, no change) so I just ordered the medium to thick cream; both the straight and the wave making; along with another bottle of straight spray, because Sephora is now out.

I returned home and voila; my hair looks perfect again. And no water softener either place…. any ideas?
Thanks so much for a truly revolutionary product.

  128. Kate says:

Back from Brazil–hair survived a 12-hour plane ride into intense humidity looking great. Have to say the results were not as great into the trip, even using tons of product. I either have so much hair (fine-to-medium and lots of it, and long) that I need a half a bottle per use, or something, but though it did cut down on frizz, I noticed that it did not control my wavy-to-curly hair as much as I would like when I blew it out straight. It also seems to add to the normal drying time. My hair ended up with a lot of volume, puffier than I would like, and did seem to react to humidity and rain (though not as much as usual). Do I need to use a product with hold on top of the straightening cream–or should I buy the one for wavy hair with hold, and blow it out using that? The product does work–but it did not stay straight and “DOWN” like I would have liked in Brazilian weather. How much more should I use–or am I using the wrong one for my extremely long, but still high volume, hair?

  129. Jen says:

I used “no frizz” creme for the first time this morning…It smells like bug spray, but the smell didn’t last on my hair. My hair didn’t come out much different than it normally would. I will give it a week to see if I notice a difference. I’m curious to try it out on a humid day to see if there are any changes. I was also wondering if mixing with other products would affect it’s productivity.

  130. Catie says:

Love the product. Would buy shampoo and conditioner as well when you have it.

  131. robrobceo says:

Carol, we’re so happy you love the products. Shampoo & conditioner are in the works, so stay tuned.

  132. mary says:

I was not happy with this product. I have thick, coarse hair. It made my hair straight and shiny indoors, but once I was out in the humidity — and it wasn’t that humid today — the frizz started coming back. I would not recommend this product. I get the same results with cheaper products.

  133. margaret says:

while i don’t think no frizz is right for me, the customer service is IMPECCABLE! i have never been treated so well by a company that i was returning a product to. the woman was so nice that i think i’ll actually give the product one more try. hopefully, 3rd time will be the charm. but like i said, super nice people. i ordered the straight making no frizz treatment and got a sample of the curly making no frizz treatment! love the company, cant wait to see what else they come up with. wish me luck on try #3 :)

  134. Carol says:

    Dear Geniuses:

Here’s the deal…this stuff is GREAT! I cant even believe it myself, I’m a total skeptic about all of these “New” products on the market these days, especially product that is not readily available in the store…I don’t like ordering online! That in itself sort of makes me suspicious of a product…my rationalization is that if the product is any good, they’d sell it and make more money if it was at the drug store/salon making purchase easier.

I’m 54 years old, I have long hair (Or at least I have attempted to have long hair) I have just recovered from a two year long health battle, only to realize that my hair was an absolute mess…dry, split, dull, limp, constantly knotted with rats and every single strand of hair seemed to be miserably unhappy. To make matters worse, I then went through a surprise bout with scalp psoriasis that lasted two months before it was cleared up…no fun at all. After having to use the extremely harsh medicated shampoos on my head to eliminate the psoriasis, my hair was left in even worse condition…now it seemed to go from simply unhappy hair to angry hair! A month ago I was even considering cutting my hair short…at the suggestion of my hairdresser who felt the situation was completely hopeless.

I also want to mention that during the past four months, I have tried at least 15 products that promised to help my hair. Only two of them were any help at all…and that was limited…but any improvement was happily appreciated and gave me a slight hope that I’d finally discovered the magic product. During my desperate and manic search, I’d ask my hairdresser (Now only known as a strand dresser) if she’d ever heard of this or that product. “No”, she’d tell me, “But it can’t hurt to give it a try.” She was nearly as desperate over my hair as I had been. Still, the only anybody hurt by this search had been my pocketbook…not to mention my desperately anxious locks…or any person as unlucky to have seen me walking by with my dry, damaged, broken, pathetic hair. I live at the beach…I think that makes it even worse. Like metal items, fat, old rusty people with dry hair probably shouldn’t live so close to the salt water!

It was with much trepidation that I ordered Living Proof’s No Frizz for fine to medium hair. After experiencing the constant onslaught of disappointment from all of these products, I decided to do the prudent thing…I bought only the smallest bottle of the stuff so I wouldn’t feel quite as ripped off by the lackluster performance of my latest acquisition of hair goop!

When the package of your product arrived, I opened the box and very nearly fainted when I found the tiny bottle of hairspray that was sent in sample size…I didn’t see the actual product at first and figured, again, that I’d been ripped off or something. Before even reading the tiny sample, I nearly through the rest of the package away when I realized it seemed rather heavy for being an empty cardboard box. Then I discovered the product tucked neatly underneath the cardboard flap…I was quietly relieved when I spotted that unassuming bottle of No Frizz…you need to label the box or something so people know it’s hiding under the flap of cardboard. All I could see was that tiny bottle of hairspray sample! It wasn’t funny at all…my hair was very nearly suicidal!

I put the product away and decided that I’d give it a try in the morning after washing my hair. But after four or so hours of wondering if it was going to work, I hopped in the shower at 9:30 last night and washed my hair…just so I could try the product…I knew I was not going to be able to wait until morning…too anxious…overly hopeful…my hair just insisted that we give it a go…right now…tonight…darn pushy hair always trying to control my life!

I towel dried my hair, then I began spraying the No Frizz in my hair and combing it through…only I didn’t follow the directions fully and used only about 2/3 the amount recommended. It smelled sort of odd…but hay, I’m getting to be an old pro with this odd smelling products in bottles by now…so I went back into the bathroom and dried my hair with the hair dryer. I always hang my head upside down (Like a monkey) while drying my hair because it does tend to help give the allusion of thicker hair. When I stood up and looked in the mirror, I was startled that my hair sort of looked like I’d just brushed it. I hadn’t brushed it, I’d just dried it like a maniac and then lifted my head up and looked in the mirror. Then I brushed my hair and it was shiny and I swear the broken split pieces looked like they were gone. By now it was nearly 10:30 PM…I very nearly called my hairdresser at home out of sheer excitement.

I went back and sat down in my chair and watched television for a bit, noticing my hair seemed rather soft and it felt thicker when I touched it (How could that be?) I got up and went into the bathroom to look at it again. My goodness, I was so surprised, when I walked past the long mirror, my hair (My hair!) was bouncy, it was shiny, and it was straighter than straight and it looked smooth…I looked in the mirror and saw this old lady with the hair of a teenager! The first thought in my head was, “Boy, I wished I had ordered a larger bottle of this stuff!” I went to bed, still touching my hair and wondering what the heck was in that bottle…and…wondering if you guys might also make a magic product for sagging skin too! I mean…this stuff REALLY works miracles…you should have this in the hands of every stylist on the planet…I want to buy stock in the company!

Okay…all of that is good and well…and up until then, I was a very satisfied customer, only regretting that I hadn’t bought a gallon bottle of the stuff! But when I woke up in the morning, the first thing I did was touch my hair (Probably out of fear that it had all broken off or something) and my hair STILL felt smooth and soft…AND thicker. (Thicker…how do you do that?) But the real miracle was that, when I looked in the mirror, it still looked shiny and when I brushed my hair, 99 percent of the morning ritual of detangling my hair was entirely unnecessary…virtually no tangles or rats. (How did you do that too?)

So…I go on about my day and I’m in the grocery store and a total stranger behind me in line and asked me what I use on my hair to keep it so nice? (Me…I’m the one with the totally wrecked nightmare head of hair!) I used this stuff ONE time…the night before…now people ask me how I keep my hair nice…it’s shocking. When I got home, I called my hairdresser and told her of the incident with the product and the stranger at the grocery store. (She doesn’t believe me that it looks that good!) So, that afternoon, I decided to stop by her shop to show off my gorgeous hair and I brought the bottle of No Frizz with me. My hairdresser’s name is Spring…when I walked through the door, you could say that Spring sprung over my hair…she was even more shocked at my hair than I had been. (Only your hairdresser knows for sure!) Anyway, Spring opened the bottle after making an extremely funny comment about the shape of the bottle being familiar or similar to someone she used to date…never mind!

Not knowing how to properly use the product, Spring began spraying it in her dry hair and combing it through…also commenting on the peculiar fragrance of the product…but even dry…she liked it in her hair…and her hair isn’t damaged at all…and it was dry, not damp. I laughed at her, but she had nothing but surprise and compliments regarding the transformation had taken place with my hair, examining my hair and combing it with her fingers as if she was a baboon looking for a flea snack!

That evening I could not wait to tell my daughter about my hair, No Frizz, the lady in the grocery store AND what Spring had to say…I brought the bottle with me so she could try it herself…although she has the most prefect hair in the world and is a very successful model. (I know…I hate her too!) Upon arrival at my daughter’s home, she opened the door and before even greeting me, she asked “Mom, what on earth did you do to your hair, it looks wonderful” as she began touching my now extremely happy locks.

I’ve never written to a manufacturer about a product before…although there are a few I’d like to write…for different reasons! Thank you for this brilliant product…I am happy beyond description that my hair has truly been restored in just ONE treatment…I can’t wait to use this product again tomorrow morning. I think tomorrow, I’ll use it on my hair, then on my face…just to see what it does to old droopy skin!

I may have my house painted in the stuff and definitely will have the gardener spray it on my back lawn.

    Most Sincerely…and eternally grateful,

    Carol

I received my two generous Living Proof samples from Sephora. I have tried so many so-called no frizz or smoothing products over the years I just about gave up. I have very thick to coarse, color-treated hair that is wavy, but I blow dry it smooth and straight. Silicone based products just got greasy. The first time I used Living Proof I couldn’t believe it. Not only did I not frizz but my hair actually stayed cleaner and was more ‘in control’ than ever before. I could go 2-3 days without shampooing and had no greasy feel, just well behaved, no frizz hair. I also like the fact that you can’t use too much — it really does your hair good to drench the product on!

Now that I’ve cut my hair a bit I’m going to try the wavy version. I’m going to be Living Proof that this product does what it says and is worth every single penny! Thank you so much.

My next question….so when are you bringing out a shampoo and conditioner??????

  136. dana says:

No Frizz passed the ultimate test!

I have been using No Frizz for months now and I have been really happy with the results. But, I live in New York and it’s been winter, so I knew the ultimate test was still ahead.

Well, a few weeks ago I went to visit my family in Florida. I do this every year and though I love the fun and sun, I dread the way I look once the humidity gets a hold of my hair. It hits me the second I get off the plane and I have to keep my hair in a tight ponytail the whole trip. But this year, thanks to my No Frizz, my hair was literally unchanged from my flawless NYC Winter locks. I couldn’t believe it! I knew the product was good, but I never believed anything could manage my crazy curls under those conditions the way No Frizz did. Plus, I got tons of compliments on my hair…probably because it wasn’t in a ponytail anymore!

Thanks Living Proof and keep ‘em coming!

  137. Melanie says:

I purchased your product(s) last week after seeing the Today Show. I could not be more pleased. The blow out time was reduced and the effect terrific! I also bought the wave formula and it made my curls uniform and frizz free! I just purchased your product for my niece because the results are so fantastic. Thank you!

  138. Dana says:

Today(3/9/09) I ordered the No Frizz for medium to coarse hair.
I have “Medusa” hair. It starts out looking good after flat ironing but once I go outside, especially if it is humid, then it goes crazy. My hair seems to be composed of two different types, the top layer is strawberry blonde as medium in texture but the lower layer is like copper wire, both in color and texture. I do not color my hair and have some of those dreaded white ones poking thru. I spend way to much money on products in an attempt to combat bad hair. So, I am praying this product is the right one and that it works.

  139. Kate says:

As a one-time beauty editor, obsessed with anti-frizz products, I was excited to learn of this product, and then, to acquire it at Sephora–where I had forgotten about this line, but was looking for a no-fail anti-frizz product for a trip to Rio…cannot wait to try it tomorrow! We’ll see how 17 hours of travel, then Brazil’s heat and humidity, affect my blowout (I usually look like Shakira in a bad way in the summer…) Thank you, modern science… I have a good feeling about this.

Just wanted to say I love your Straight Making No Frizz Cream! I’ve tried just about every anti-frizz and/or straightening product on the market from drugstore brands to high end salon lines and nothing has worked as well as this product has. I’m a believer! My only suggestion is that you sell your products in a larger size, such as 8 oz or 12 oz. I will be the first to buy them!

  141. Sara says:

Have been using the product for about a month now, still loving it. Just one question I normally wash my hair, put curl creme on and let it air dry. When I wake up my curls look a little frizzy. Should I get the spray to spray on in the mornings? I still love the product when I wash my hair and go it looks great. Due to length must wash in evenings to save time in the morning. Thanks for any tips.

  142. Audrey says:

estelle yes use the cream. one other thing is I have thinning hair (alopecia) maybe my hair is not breaking off anymore but it is thicker and fuller now too.

  143. End the Frizz says:

Hi Shawn – We do in fact have a Straight Making No Frizz Cream for medium to thick hair. If you do not like the spray I recommend trying the cream.

  144. Nicole says:

FINALLY, a product that does what it says it’s going to do! I have damaged straight hair and the only way to smooth it out is take a flat iron to it, hence all the damage. This product isn’t quite as good as a flat iron, but I like it BETTER, as I can still get lift and body from blow drying, PLUS the smoothing of the split ends and frizz. Two words: WOO HOO! One suggestion, however: if there could be something added to the product to protect hair from heat styling, that would make this even BETTER (if that’s even possible!!) Or even adding UVA/UVB protection… :o ) But I will continue to buy and use this product. THANK YOU!!! Well done!!

  145. Tammy Pope says:

I saw this product on the Today show while I was in NYC (staying in Time Square next to Sephora). My daughter has CURLY!!! hair and hates it and I have curly hair and love it. After I saw the product on TV I went straight to Sephora and bought the straight product for my daughter and the wave product for me. I can’t say enough about both!! It normally takes me over an hour to straighten my daughters hair with a ton of silicone and other products. It took exactly 25 minutes! I went to a function that same night and everyone was telling me how great my hair looked. Thank you from both me and my daughter!!! This is the BEST product!

  146. Geula says:

Ok, so I tried it again, and no dice…. It’s going back to Sephora as soon as possible. I wanted it to work, but my hair just does not like it. Disappointed, again.

  147. Pam R. says:

I’m a “pioneer” user of No Frizz and am still using it. In my recent order, you asked what else you could invent and I have a suggestion. I currently use Color Mark to touch up in-between colorings. If you could come up with a product that would do a better job, that would be great. Color Mark works okay but I think your team could come up with something better.

BTW, I introduced my daughter to No Frizz and she loves it also…

  148. Susan says:

I used this for the first time today. I bought the wavy/curl for med-thick hair. I have finer hair but it does not like sprays at all so I decided to try the cream. I used it over a leave in and I did use a bit less than suggested since I was using the med-thick formula on fine hair. I had decent results and it stayed pretty good even after being out in the wind. I will try again tomorrow and I might try not diffusing (my hair needs the volume diffusing gives it). I also used a tiny bit of gel over it and I might try it without gel tomorrow too…EXPERIMENTATION!

  149. Kathleen Burns says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I ordered the Wave shaping curl defining for medium thick hair and you sent a sample of the smooth treatment…I love them both! I am ordering more and have been telling my friends and my stylist about it. My hair is more managable all round & I love how it looks and feels. Thank you again.

  150. Sony L. says:

    Okay, I’m back because I just had a revelation……

Usually whenever I finish brushing my fine, yet frizzy hair (well, not anymore now that I use Living Proof), I used to have to bend down and pick up all the hair from the bathroom floor.

If I’m lazy (so rare because I’m really anal about it) and decide to leave it until ‘later’ then I’m grabbing up balls of hair that have somehow organized, arranged themselves into a unified mass and gathered into corners…I’m sure it’s a combination of the radiator and my bamboo wood floors.

Well, that’s all changed. Keep in mind that I’ve only been using Living Proof No Frizz Styling Treatment for about a week but I haven’t had to do my ‘bend and gather’ routine for the last three days.

Okay, lightbulb moment!! It makes sense, right?? If your hair is less frizzy, then that means less damaged hair and therefore, less breakage.

Be forewarned, ladies, I’m heading to Sephora early tomorrow to stock up!!!

Who’d thunk it? I was never a fan of science in school but that’s all changed, thanks to Dr. Langer and his amazing team!! Bravo!

  151. Mary says:

This is by far the best product I have ever used on my natural curly hair.

I love love love my hair now thanks to you!

  152. Geula says:

Ok, I got this at Sephora the other day, I have thick, curly hair (only with gel, mousse, naturally it’s all frizz) I am not sure if I did something wrong, but this totally DID NOT work for me! Could someone give me some tips? I am using the medium, not the thick, could that make a difference? Does everyone use just No Frizz or other products along with it? I am sorry for so many questions, but I had such high hopes and spent what I consider a lot of money on a hair product, I hate to waste it….
    Thanks from sunny/humid South Florida!

  153. Shawn says:

I LOVE this product! But, I must say that I have tried both the straight and the wavy and find they do tend to leave the hair feeling ever so slightly sticky. (Even after brushing the hair out.) Even so, NO MORE FRIZZ! And the hair LASTS for a few days!!
Any chance you will be developing a cream version for the ‘’straight” as you have done for the ”wavy”? The delivery system is a bit of a hassle(the spray).

    TERRIFIC PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!

    Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!

  154. [...] from their website and it will cost me waaaaay more than I’d like to spend, but if all their customer reviews are truthful, I’m in! They even have a diagnostic tool to help you decide which product would [...]

  155. Anne says:

So I am one of your “tried it, didn’t like it, came back and tried a different version and now LOVE it” customers

I tried the wavy spray version and thought it was drying- the crispiness was a texture I didn’t care for. And while I had no friz initially- I brushed it to soften it and ended up with undefined curls that looked wierd. that was October…..

I have fine, damaged, blond (and white and gray) hair that has been my most hated feature for some time! I have tried everything and even when the products sort of worked I would end up with tiny frizzies all over the top of my head. So I went natural during humid seasons….mostly ok, but just find the big curly hair not my thing

I just tried the creme and used alot, with leave in conditioner first- and voila- perfect blow out.
But it’s winter, and dry- so I think- I really will test this stuff- into the hot shower after working out- time for major frizz usually- NOT A ONE!!!
Sorry for shouting but if it keeps working I will run across that smoot laden bridge and kiss every one of you!!

  156. Maggie says:

I have tried both the curl and straight for thick hair, I must say I do like the way my hair looks and feels. I wish that you would provide more product for the price, if you follow the directions you’ll go through it pretty fast. How about a 6 or 8 oz bottle? If it doens’t last a month it’s difficult to keep on hand. How about starting an auto ship and giving a 10% discount?

  157. Sony L. says:

It’s wonderful when great things happen all at once!! I read about Living Proof in Allure magazine a few months ago and thought, ‘yea, okay, another so-called anti-frizz product’.Then I saw it featured on GMA and said to myself, ‘oh, there’s that product again’. Fast forward – a few weeks later, I’m late night Internet surfing/shopping on Sephora’s website and I saw Living Proof again and decided to finally give it a try; so I ordered a bottle.

A few days go by and in the interim, I attended the annual CEW – Beauty Demo which features new beauty and fragrance products in all the major categories of skincare, haircare, nails, etc. and I thought, ‘well, Living Proof must be amongst all these great products”… but alas, I couldn’t find it…not too surprisingly, as there hundreds of products!!

After a few hours, I arrived home (did I mention that I live in NYC?) and emptied my fantastic gift bag onto the living floor, so I could check out my swag, categorize and check out each item.

OH, HAPPY DAY – there it was, that gorgeous grayish bottle!! My own bottle of Living Proof Straight Making No Frizz Styling Treatment. After some initial glee, I remembered that I had a delivery from Sephora and right on top, was my second bottle – I couldn’t be greedy, so I gave that one to my friend.

We’ve never been happier using a hair product!! It really delivers! I’m an African American woman, with unrelaxed hair. I use a hair dryer or blowdryer and then achieve straightness, with the help of a flat iron. My friend relaxes her hair but goes through the same procedure. Needless to say, that combination usually results in dry, yet frizzy hair that then requires all types of products to shine it up, moisturize and defrizz; all hopefully, without massive weighty, oily hair. Yeah, right!

Well, not anymore – Living Proof is the truth!! I adore this product and appreciate all the different resources that brought it to my attention.

(By the way, 4 days after receiving your product in my gift bag & sharing my 2nd bottle, I went to Sephora and bought a backup bottle. I never want to be without it and let’s face it, summer is a few short months away and I need my hair to remain sleek and stunning!!!)

Thanks for a truly wonderful product!!! and continued success!!

(psst, hey, Dr. Langer, what’s next? I’m on board!)

  158. Estelle Siegel says:

Audrey, are you using the fine to medium or medium to thick. I have fine dry hair and I am using the spray. I see you are using the cream. Maybe I should try the cream eventhough I have very fine thin hair.

  159. Estelle Siegel says:

I am 48 years old and have suffered with frizzy hair my entire life. I would spend so much time and energy blowing out my hair, but then I would wlak outside and see that my efforts were for naught. I now wake up with 75% beautiful hair in the morning that I can just brush and go. I unfortunately suffer from night sweats, not a particularly beautiful thing, but everything stays frizz free but the bottom of my hair, no matter how much spray I use. I wish there was a solution to that one. But Iwill take what I can get. Anybody out there have any suggestions on what I can do with my ends?

  160. Wendy says:

I have been using this product since I read about it in Allure. I have raved about it to so many people, and introduced my hairdresser to it. I have fine hair, which would frizz and be difficult to style. Since I started using this, every day looks like I got my hair professionally blown dry. I, however, use a mousse for my roots just to give that area some more lift and body. I have been able to retire my straightening and curling iron, which I used to use to help combat frizz. Thanks so much!

  161. nasim says:

This stuff works pretty good! But the bottle size is way too small. I have a head FULL of hair and I’ll go through such a little bottle in no time! Please look into larger packaging and more size options.

  162. Audrey says:

Have to say I love this stuff. did not notice a big difference the first time I used it but it did help a little bit. I am on the fourth time and can really tell the difference now. I have fine but dry hair and used the cream. I use a flat iron and it stays soft straight and silky for three days.even my burnt out ends from the flat iron are looking good and without split ends. I live in San Antonio and we do have humidity.

  163. Carolyn says:

I love NoFrizz. And it loves me. Finally: straight, smooth hair all day. Even in the rain and fog! Now THAT’S a miracle. Thank you for inventing this life changing product and making it so easy to obtain. Do you think it’s possible to create a product for dark under-eye cirlces?

  164. Kathy D says:

This is absolutely AMAZING!! I NEVER leave a comment on any site. I just usually lurk. But this product is the absolute BEST. I just use as per directions, dry & go. My hair feels and looks fantastic. I am 50ish, highlight, and my hair is on the thin side. The volume is perfect. No more ironing to end the frizz. My hair will DEFINITELY be in better condition in the future. I’m gonna try just air-drying and see what results I get. THANK A MILLION FOR A GREAT PRODUCT!

  165. Anne P-R says:

After reading about your line in Allure, I ordered some of the Spray for fine/medium hair. I have naturally curly fine dry colored hair that is cut in shoulder-length layers.I live in the San Francisco Bay Area where the air is often on the wet side. I figured that frizz was just part of my style, and the other products I’ve tried have weighed down my hair and made it look yucky. I inadvertently put your product to an ultimate test: I washed my hair, applied the Spray, had time to partially air dry it inside, and then had to go out in the pouring rain! As my hair dried in the car, it looked better and better and felt clean and bouncy. The next time I used it, I applied the Spray over my usual Zarren leave-in conditioner. My hair looks fantastic, and I am now a confirmed user. I’ve recommended it to my hairdresser who is going to try the wavy cream. Thank you for taking the time and resources to develop this line. I realize that, on a scale of things, it’s not the same as a cure for cancer, but, on the other hand, I am a firm believer that if you look good, you feel great, and that is worth a lot, especially these days. Thanks!

  166. Elizabeth V. says:

Hi,I have to tell you that hair is my thing, all my friends and family are envious in a good way, and, many can’t keep their hands off of it.

I’ve been using Living Proof for 2 weeks now, and my hair is better than ever! No need to frequent washes and style, LOVE IT! I can give my flat iron a vacation.

    Fantastic Product!

  167. Marci says:

I have been using the Curly/Wavy cream for medium hair for about 2 weeks now, daily. I wear my hair curly and I only air-dry. I have had consistent *the best* hair days in the past 2 weeks, probably more so than in the past year without No Frizz. I also have the cream for straightening medium hair. I am looking forward to trying that, but I will still be air-drying. I want to compare which of the 2 formulas works better for my hair.

  168. Sara says:

I have been using No Frizz for a week and the product is wonderful. I bought both wave cream and straightening cream, both products make my hair look and smell wonderful. I also love the fact that I do not have to wash my hair everyday to make my curls look nice.

    Great Product.

  169. Dorothy says:

I have been using the cream for medium to thick hair, and I love it (even though my hair is on the thin to medium side). I too have tried many products over the years with little success, so I was surprised that this product truly made a difference. It both helps style my curls and keeps my hair looking softer and healthier than it has in years. For the first time, I can also go to the gym, work out, and still still not have frizzy hair. Thank you for this wonderful product.

  170. disappointed says:

okay so i was very exited to buy no frizz, i tried it out and when i tried the straightening cream and blow dried my hair it still came out puffy then i used wave shaping and my hair was hard and after a while it became frizzy, this product was overly expensive and at its price it should work perfectly. i wasted alot of money on this product and my hair only looks a tiny bit better

  171. Nicky says:

Rob, I love this stuff too! I got the free sample on-line at Sephora (the double dose too, woo-hoo!) and have found that I get better frizz control than with any other products I’ve tried. Even better, not only can I go the next day without shampooing (healthier for my super dry hair) but — unheard of! — I don’t need to flat-iron it the next day, either! (my poor heat-exposed hair is so happy…)

And *please* keep that great scent — so fresh! I ordered the cream (though I have fine hair, the idea of the cream was more appealing) and I will not only get more of it, but some of the spray for fine hair too, just to try it.

Your generous samples at Sephora made me a true believer. Thanks!

  172. This Product Is Amazing! says:

I am 53 years old. I have extremely thick frizzy hair. I have struggled with it all my life (I remember some comments from junior high school, such as “you would be really pretty if it wasn’t for that hair”).

I have tried every product on the market. Nothing other than weekly (and expensive and time-consuming) professional blow outs could make my hair look good.

This morning, without any high hopes, I decided to try the Living Proof Wave Shaping Curl Defining, No Frizz Styling Treatment
for Thick to Coarse Hair product. Washed my hair, gave it a cursory towel dry and quickly ran the product through my hair, and out I went. Didn’t even look in the mirror. Neighbors started stopping me in the street telling me how great my hair looked. Found a mirror. Wow! Soft and even ringlets – not a wild mass of frizz. 53 years I have waited for this.

I wish I could buy a nice glass of champagne for whoever invented this product. Thank you.

  173. Deanna says:

My out-of-box experience was crazy but totally my fault. I saw a tiny container about the size of my pinky and thought “THIS is IT?” but it turns out that was a free sample! I wonder if anyone else thought the same? All I saw was this sample and a beautiful package of postcards and information. I thought there simply must be more. So I picked up the empty box and shook it and it felt heavy. Sure enough, the actual product was tucked behind cardboard on the side.

I saturated my hair with it. The smell is strong. There is simply no getting around that and I hoped dealing with the smell would be worthwhile. And I prayed all the scientists made sure it was safe. I sincerely believe they must have.

My hair looked straight and sleek the way it does only when I get a professional blow-out. No matter how hard I have tried with products, blow dryers and straightening irons, I have never before been able to make my hair look like this. So there you have it. My next thought was even though I have an important meeting on Friday, I do not need to go get a blow-out first and that this product could make a serious dent in the revenues of salons and manufacturers of those irons and other products.

I can’t wait to use it again and I’m afraid of it selling out so I might buy more right away!

  174. End the Frizz says:

Christine – we’re so disappointed that the product didn’t provide the results you were looking for. Would you mind sharing with us your experience? We would love to know what kind of hair you have, which product you used and how you used it. This way we can sort out what went wrong for you. Please feel free to reach out to us at your convenience. We don’t like disappointing our customers!

  175. Christine says:

DOES NOTHING. I believed the hype too. I was so excited to use this and so disappointed. No difference one way or another. Waste.

  176. Beth says:

    I love this Product!

  177. robrobceo says:

Sharon, what a GREAT story. Thanks for sharing as you are not alone.

    Rob, CEO

  178. Sharon from Wisconsin says:

I have fine but very dense naturally curly hair. Not only does the Wisconsin summer humidity cause me much hair agony, but the arid dryness of the cold winters also induce a riot of tangles and fly-aways, making me look like some sort of chaotic Medusa. I am so pleased with No Frizz after only one use – fat, saucy curls that bounce with movement, that are smooth as silk. I can’t wait to try a blow-out. As a spoil-me for my birthday last summer, I received a cut and blow-out at a high-end Chicago salon. The stylist, after nearly two hours hard at work, gave up on keeping my hair straight, and sent me on my way with tons of free product. Maybe I should pay him a visit again this summer, with No Frizz in-hand.

I’ll be a walking, talking billboard for Living Proof. Thank you!

  179. Randi says:

I tried the straight spray for fine hair. I went on vacation to a hot climate and my hair stayed straight and there was no frizz! The most impressive thing to me is the customer service and genuine interest this company has for it’s customers. I want to try the product for medium hair since it is a balm, instead of a spray since I have pretty dry hair. I have to get through the product I have 1st.
    Thanks no Frizz!

  180. robrobceo says:

Antionette, quite a worldwind tour! Thanks for sharing.

    Rob

  181. Antionette says:

I have had the opportunity to experience your shampoo and conditioner while still using the other No-Frizz products. You might say that I did a 3 state frizz test over the past 2 weeks. I received the products in Tampa Fl where I live Dec. 4th used it immediately, traveled to New Orleans from Dec. 6 to 12 (very rainy conditions and a surprising snowy day too), returned to Tampa until the 16 of Dec. and I am now in Boston ( have had rain and expecting a snow storm today). These products are wonderful and can hold up to any climate, temperature changes or weather conditions. My hair is visibly smoother and feels wonderful. It is a fabulous feeling to not have to worry about my hair. Thank you.

  182. Helene says:

What a wealth of information on the Living Proof site! I’ve been out of circulation lately due to surgery and an overload of work so I haven’t kept in touch. But I haven’t lost touch with my No Frizz products – thank goodness! They’ll be traveling along with me to Mexico in 5 weeks where they’ll be put to the test with all the humidity. I can’t wait – I know they’ll be real winners against the weather.

The last time I posted, the site was in it’s ‘infancy’ and now the site is full of great info. I’m going to spend lots a free time catching up with all the updates, info, and tips.

Thanks Rob – for a great, informative site and a truly fabulous product. I love it and those I’ve passed product along to have become true fans!

  183. Jessica says:

All I can say is wow. If you’re visiting this site and are skeptical about trying any product in this line, don’t be. Seriously. You can’t lose. This stuff has changed my attitude about my hair and my hair itself. I actually like straightening it or leaving it curly. I know with this stuff in my hair, my hair isn’t gonna get all jacked up before I even make it to work. If they ever take it off the market I will be a lost child all over again. This is it. I’m done searching for hair products. The hunt is officially over for me.

  184. Sharon says:

I just wanted to say how great that No Frizz has been for me. I’ve been using it for 6 weeks and actually put off my normal haircut schedule because I kept having great hair days! When I finally went for a haircut this week, my stylist commented on how incredibly healthy my hair was and was blown away at the results. Taming my frizz and not need to flat iron my hair was great, but improving the overall health of my hair has just been amazing.

  185. Olivia says:

I used to use every product known to man to make up my daily routine. Anti-frizz serum, volumizing foam, flat iron protection mist, pomade, hair spray, shine mist….etc etc etc. I live in Colorado, and although its very dry here, I still get frizz. And it looks BAD. My hair looks dry so much of the time, not shiny, not completely smooth. Even those times I leave the house with a good hair day, nothing makes it look good for very long. I am a waitress and always running around, steam and oils from the fajitas making my hair look like crap. And sometimes I want to get off work and go out without washing my hair AGAIN and redoing my entire look.

So being the hair product junkie I am, I saw in Allure magazine No Frizz, and I thought I had to give it a try. I called that very day, and ordered product from the company itself. I ordered the spray; and although it really did reduce the frizz, my hair felt really dry. I am sure the spray works on some people, but for me I think my hair is too thick. So I called the company and got the cream instead.

The company was so helpful and amazing with helping me deal with my exchange. I have never had customer service like that EVER. The cream…..OH MY GOSH. My hair looked so unbelievably shiny and amazing. I felt like it even looked fuller in the volume department, and I didn’t even use volumizer, for once. Actually, I didnt use ANY products besides the No Frizz cream. A big deal for me! I blow dried my hair and used a flat iron as well. And my hair didn’t feel like it was frying. After running errands all day, my hair still looked great. And the next morning, all I had to do was run a brush through it and it looked the same. It didnt look dirty, or greasy, and it retained its shape very well. All I have to say is, try this stuff out. This really is a great product and truthfully, I feel that my hair is improving from continuous use. My heat-styled-and-color-processed-to-death hair looks a lot healthier. It’s cool also because I don’t need to buy a whole brigade of products anymore.

Sorry this review is so long, but I want to get the good word out!

  186. Kim says:

Hi! I read about No Frizz in Allure magazine and had to try it. From the day I was born I had stick straight hair. Even the highly chemical perms from the 70’s only held in my hair for no longer than a week. All of a sudden I turn 40 and my hair starts to get a wave in it along with damage and breakage (last part most likely because I have been coloring my hair since high school!). I have a oily scalp and dry damaged hair and not one product – even those that my hair stylist daughter gave me – worked for a day. A few hours maybe, but not for a day. My son played baseball in Virginia this past summer and my husband and I went down to watch a few games a couple of times. Well, how embarrassed was I when I went back to the hotel the first night and looked in the mirror! I never saw my hair stick out so much….and after meeting all new people there….. my hair was back in a clip the rest of the time. Then I read about No Frizz and you bet I needed to try it! I cannot tell you how many great comments I have been getting from everyone, even my daughter on how shiny, straight and calm my hair is now. I am extremely happy and cannot wait to go back to Virginia next summer and meet those same people again with my great looking hair! Thanks so much, Rob!!!

  187. robrobceo says:

Beth…interesting. We do know that if you mix No Frizz with a silicone products you will get that reaction. They just don’t play nice together. Figures.

Did you have another product on your hands at the time?

    Rob

  188. Beth says:

I read about No Frizz in a magazine, and I had to try it. I live in Florida, where I have a bad hair day most of the time. I have medium length wavy hair that is frizzy unless I blow dry, straighten, or curl it with a curling iron. If I let it air dry, it’s nothing but a mass of frizz. Ugh.

So I tried No Frizz and I can’t believe the difference! It’s so wonderful to not have to worry about my hair being frizzy after being outside.

And it stays frizz-free for a couple of days. Wonderful!

The only complaint I have is one time I put some of the product on my hands and when I rubbed my hands together, the product kind of congealed…it almost turned into a cottage cheese consistency. It was really bizarre. And it hasn’t happened since…

Anyway, thanks so much for creating this product!!!

  189. Anna R. says:

I don’t have the “frizz” problem that a lot of folks have, but I do notice that I can go an extra day without washing my hair, which is wonderful. And just this morning at work I got a compliment about how great my hair looked. What more can a gal want!!

  190. Megan Bond says:

I heard about your frizz fighter on the Today Show a few weeks ago. I was skeptical. I have tried every product I can find that is supposed to combat frizz. Some never worked. Some appeared to work for a little while but, when challenged with real humidity, they quickly failed. I have very thick, coarse hair. I think water levels in surrounding lakes, oceans, and rivers actually drop when I am nearby because my hair is absorbing all available moisture. It’s a problem because I love the water and we often vacation on or near the ocean. I usually just plan on looking like some sort of a wild woman. My clothes, shoes and jewelry may be fashionable, but I have always known that my hair will either have to be pulled back or I need to avoid mirrors and cameras so I can maintain my delusion that I look great! When I ordered the Living Proof for coarse hair (which I flat iron so my massive head and hair doesn’t block the sun!), I really didn’t have high hopes that it would actually work. I had been disappointed too many times previously. Well, I used it and flat ironed my hair on a gray morning. That afternoon, I wandered back and forth in a misty rain from my house to the car as I was packing up for a quick trip to Chicago. I got to Chicago and was amazed to see that, despite being in the rain, my hair was still straight and frizz free. It was raining that evening and Chicago is, of course, on Lake Michigan…still no frizz. I don’t wash my hair everyday. It’s exhausting to dry and style. And my hair is so dry that daily washing is not necessary. When I came home on Sunday, my hair looked as good as when I walked out the door on Friday. I have no words for my gratitude. I will tell everyone who stands still long enough about your products. You have my eternal product loyalty. Thank you so much.

Read about No Frizz in Allure and ordered immediately–was not disappointed. My hair is much easier to blow out and is silky smooth. The most important thing I noticed is how clean and smooth it stays —for days!! Totally amazing!! The only suggestion is for a larger tube as I have long hair and will be going through this quickly. Another benefit is not having to layer on styling products–I am achieving excellent results with just one product ( cream for medium hair). Would definitely buy again. Did not like the control cream as much.

  192. Jody says:

I went to a party on Saturday with some people who hadn’t seen me in many years. Almost every one of them commented on how good my hair looked. It was so straight and smooth, they thought I had had it chemically straightened. Really, the only thing I used was No Frizz!

  193. Abby says:

I got my hair colored today and took my No Frizz to the salon…..my stylist has not heard of it but was excited to hear how it’s working for me. She was also pleased to hear I only have to shampoo every 2-3 days now….that’s so much better for color-treated hair.

I will be in the Caribbean soon to give my new favorite product the REAL test….and from all I’ve read so far, it’s going to WORK !! No more hats all day, ponytails at dinner or deleting great vacation pictures because my hair looked like a Pyramid !! :)

  194. peachy5 says:

I rarely blowdry my own hair. One reason is that it would often come out frizzy. Another reason is my hair is very thick and coarse. I have tried every product under the sun. I have my very own beauty supply store in my closet at home. My husband can vouch for that. I ordered No Frizz after reading about it in Allure magazine. It arrived and the next day I decided to try it. I was very pleased with the results. Since my hair is thick I did have to use quit a bit but still the results was better than anything that I have used before. My hair was soft and smooth. I did not notice a lot of shine but I was very happy with what I got. Would I buy more? You bet I would!

  195. tara says:

I ordered this after reading about it in Allure. It really does work- my hair has never looked this good. At first I wasn’t using enough product and it wasn’t working- it seemed dry and fluffy. If you still have frizz try using more. I agree it doesn’t “sit on” your hair- it doesn’t feel like anything and I have a lot of volume on top. I just blow dry without a brush now. I’m going to go through a lot of this- hopefully there will be specials where you can order in bulk? :)

Thanks Jody! We all really care about customers.

  197. Jody says:

One thing I forgot to mention in my last post was that Living Proof is one of the nicest companies to do business with. Customer service is excellent, and Rob truly seems to care about his customers.

  198. Jody says:

When I read about this product as Allure Magazine’s “beauty breakthrough,” I knew I had to try it. A couple of days later, my No Frizz arrived, and I can honestly say I will never be without it again. I have thick but fine, kinky curly hair that I blow out and flat iron to straighten it. However, any time I went out into even the tiniest bit of humidity, my blowout was ruined. No Frizz has completely changed that. I use it before I blow dry, and I don’t see any frizz at all. I don’t mean less frizz, I mean NONE. If you have struggled with frizz, you need this product.

  199. Ronni says:

Having worked in the Beauty PR business, when I read about an amazing new product I am always up for trying it — but keep my hopes in check. The technology of this product seemed really different, so, fingers crossed, I became a “pioneer customer.”

I took the product to the salon where I have my hair blown out and the stylist found it as easy, if not easier, to work with than the high end product we were using. She really liked the texture of my hair after it was dry. But, as everyone knows, when it is professionally done, the end result is smooth and shiny. We were both waiting to see what would happen on a humid day.

It didn’t take long to find out — after just two uses I was doing errands on a hot day and it started to drizzle. I’d had my hair done the day before and just figured it that it would frizz, so I continued running around. When I returned home I was shocked to discover that my hair had not frizzed! A week later I took a trip to South Carolina to visit my sister (in the summer!) and my hair was great. I will definitely be sending the product to my sister who wears her hair both curly and straight.

I bought the spray product for fine to medium hair. After reading the reviews that say color treated hair may need more moisture, I am going to try the cream product to experience the difference.

Rob, where were you when I was “suffering” on humid and rainy days in high school and college? :-)

    Love the product,
    Ronni

I first read about this product in Allure magazine. They raved about it so I had to try it! I found the website, placed my order and received the product this past weekend. I have recently gotten new hair cut which I have been having some trouble styling. The first night I tried it was Saturday night and my hair looked great. Then on Monday morning I woke up late and did not have time to wash it. I had not washed it in two days and so usually, this would have been a ponytail day. I started working with it and my hair looked great. I had numerous compliments that day. So far I have had “good” hair days ever since I got it. This is unheard of for me! I hope everyone tries it and discovers how great it is!

Just wanted to share another website that is talking about Living Proof. I’m thinking I’m going to use a leave-in conditioner tomorrow when I try this again. http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/showthreadphp?t=57387&page=2

  202. Lila says:

I just received my straight making no frizz treatment last week, and in short, it is amazing. I say this in utter shock for someone with curly hair that straightens easily, but gets curly once I tie it up, or get it wet.

2 specific things amazed me…my hair got a little wet in a hot tub, usually resulting in curls everywhere, but while it maintained a wave it never got curly or frizzy!!! and number 2–and this is not something you advertise, but my hair didn’t get as dirty as it normally does after a couple of days of not washing. …as if it repelled dirt! I never use anything in my hair, just a round brush and hair dryer, and my hair needs its usual washing every other day, but I used your stuff on Friday, and by Monday morning, my hair still looked clean. ( I washed it, but normally its so nasty by then…especially after the hot tub incident!)

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for this new and truly amazing product, love it love it!!

    Your new favorite customer

  203. michelle says:

suggestion for dalit… comb the product thru your hair after applying. may make the difference you are looking for. after just one application, i decided i cannot live without this product. anyone who has ever changed plans or put your hair up after spending alot of time and or money on it… this is for you. seeing really is believing. just try it, when you get to that moment that you feel the hair must go up, resist and go look in a mirror you won’t believe it. good hair days always, wow what a concept.

  204. Harrietlou says:

What I really love about the product is that it doesn’t sit “on top” of my hair like other anti-frizz sprays and gels. The feel is really impressive – it’s my hair but not frizzy. And unlike those who are lucky enough not to have really frizzy hair – I am cursed. On rainy days, my hair extends horizontally with frizz. Frankly, I can’t believe the wonderful difference. I am a fan-for-life!
    Thank you!
Now if you can turn your creativity and genius to rosacea, I’ll be in heaven!

  205. Pam R. says:

I have long, fine, straight hair that is colored but I have lots of hair. Because I live in Florida, normally after washing and drying, my hair just didn’t look very smooth because of the humidity and probably because of the coloring. I have used No Frizz three times and wow, what a difference. My hair is straight, smooth and very silky. It doesn’t look the same without the product. I have a great hairdryer and it works even better using it.

I just traveled last week from the South to the North and it stayed the same for the entire trip. I didn’t have to use my curling iron as I have in the past to make my hair look better. It just stayed straight and looked nice the entire trip.

I am going to see my hairdresser on Thursday and plan to take it with me so she can use it when she is finished. I’ll be interested to see what she thinks.

Thanks for a great product and good luck with the launch. I’ll be back for more product soon.

    All the best.

    Pam

  206. Helene Titsch says:

I’ve been using No Frizz for about 2 weeks – both the straight and curly formulas for fine/medium hair and I’m getting great results.
I have naturally curly hair but usually blow dry and sometimes flat iron it. This product has cut my blow dry time down to about 6 minutes from about 15 minutes and my flat iron has been put away. My hairbrush goes through my hair so easily it’s amazing.
In the past, when I’ve worn my hair curly, I’ve had to use product that has made it ‘crunchy.’ Using the curly formula of No Frizz has left my hair so soft. And it doesn’t just feel soft, it looks soft to the point where I’ve had certain people who have asked to touch it.
I’m also washing less but, I’ll post a comment in the curly tips section regarding that.
I’ll be in Mexico in January. This will be my 4th visit there and everytime I’ve gotten off the plane, it ‘frizz city!’ I can’t wait to get there with my No Frizz!
    Love this product!

  207. Deborah Snow says:

This by far is the best product I have ever used, hands down !!!
I have wavy, frizzy hair and have all my life, I would send hours blow drying and spend a fortune on every product that promised the frizz would be gone. None of them worked, so years ago I paid over $600.00 to have it straightened, while that was great and I loved it, traveling to California, hotel cost etc, I decided this was nuts.
I could not believe my luck when late one night I was web surfing and found the “No Frizz” website. I was so excited and ordered the product, as soon as it arrived, I washed my hair, put the product in and blew it dry…..WOW, great results, no frizz (yeah), smooth, great shine, bounce and as soft as could be.
Saying “Thank-you” to everyone that developed this great product just doesn’t cover how grateful I am to all of you.
I continue to spread the word and tell everyone how great this product.
Thank you so much. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you !!!!
    Deborah Snow

  208. Antionette says:

Amazing products! I live in humid central Florida and my hair is medium thickness so I purchased the Fine to Medium spray. The day the products arrived I was so anxious to use them I sprayed it on my dry bangs and used a round brush and hair dryer to style, loved the product immediately. Then the following day I used it as recommended and really loaded it on my damp hair. Fabulous results. Since the other product choice was for Medium to Thick hair I placed an order for the tube products so I could compare. They both work great. My hair is full of body and no frizzing. I now wake up to smooth, sexy hair. Even the humidity created by a shower does not add frizzies to my hair. Everyone will love your product line.

  209. Paula Crisp says:

I have moderately frizzy/curly hair, and no matter how carefully I blow it out straight the minute I go outside it starts to curl/frizz. This product kept my hair straight and frizz free even after sitting outside at a patio bar all evening! I’ve never had that happen before!

  210. Kris says:

I love this product!!! I have tried everything for my curly frizzy hair… Japanese straightening, Brazilian straightening the works…I am also a product junkie and this is the first product that has worked for my hair… I have recommended it to all of my friends and am so excited to see more products!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!

  211. LKK says:

I can actually blow dry and go! Without having to use the flat iron, my hair has much more volume! I like the no frizz straight spray. The only con is the fragrance. The spray has a non-perfumed smell that is not something I look forward to in the morning– but its worth it to have sleek, shiny, straight hair! Line and shine at all costs! (No Frizz people– could you add a good smell to the mix?)

  212. Stacie says:

Tried this stuff for the first time today. I got it 2 days ago and was scared to try it. I didn’t want to be disappointed yet again by another product with big promises.

I used the curly cream for med/thick (still waiting for the coarse products to come out for curlies) and let it air dry (a definite no-no in humid Alabama) WOW! Was I surprised!

I wore my hair down for the first time in probably almost a year because I thought it was lookin’ mighty pretty and fine and wanted to show it off!

I will probably have to order by the gallon since my hair is to the middle of my back, but my goodness! If this stuff keeps getting better with extended use, I might just end up a hair model. :)

“No, I’m not a hair model. I just look like one thanks to No Frizz by Living Proof.” :)

I belong to another website for the hair-obsessed http://www.longhaircommunity.com and I have a picture on their of my hair from behind (from back in the spring). I’m gonna upload the picture I had my hubby take of my gorgeous locks today! Woo-hoo!

Yes, I’m a little excited about these products.

  213. Dalit says:

The product really does work, but it makes my hair harder to blow dry, and coarser feeling. My hair isn’t very frizzy, or curly. but humidity kills my blow outs. I used the on for fine hair.

The first day i used it was a rainy day. My hair looked much better than it would have if i didn’t use the product.

if only it could get my hair to feel soft and smooth it would be perfect!!

  214. Jennifer says:

I’m a new “user” of no frizz and I’m dealing with wavy hair that is now naturally gray, so my texture has also changed even though I color my hair. I started using the product the last days of Sept. when we had about two weeks of really humid weather here in the northeast. I had been letting my hair go natural over the summer, giving up on the idea of trying to blow dry it straight. I was really impressed with how smooth my hair looked and I’m anxious to give it the real test next summer. I would definately buy more of this product when it runs out.

  215. Linda Heckel says:

I feel that I am a product junkie for hair and now I have found my favorite. I have frizzy hair and live in southwest Florida in the summer humid months and play golf. I wash my hair and let it air dry and it is shiny, soft and smooth. It does not feel like it has product on it.

  216. CS says:

I have been using No Frizz for a week and cannot believe the difference in my hair…..it is actually straight using only a blow dyer and a brush. Even better it stays straight….no more leaving the house with straight hair only to arrive at work with frizzy hair….ugh!

I am anxious for an entire line of products….

  217. abbyaries says:

No Frizz really works….and it lasts for 2-3 days, even if you are exposed to some humidity- plus you don’t have to shampoo as often. I dont want to use words like ” miracle” but this may be it…
I have straight to wavy hair that I have had to blowdry and flatiron daily….I’ve used every serum or straightening product from $3 to $50 and nothing has ever worked like No Frizz works…
I can now go places I used to avoid because I knew my hair would frizz up….
    trust me….this works

  218. Michelle O'Halloran says:

I recently began using No-Frizz. I have moderately frizzy hair due to medication I must take. I used No-Frizz the other day before going to the theater in Manhattan. As I was walking to the theater, it began to rain and I nemoaned the fact that I had spent time blowing out my hair. However, when I returned home that night I was certainly surprised to see that my hair was as smooth and straight as when I had left the house! I am thrilled with your product.

  219. Pat says:

    Hi Rob,

While I don’t have extremely frizzy hair, I do live in Florida…the “Bad Hair Day” capital of the world. I also work as a physicians’ rep, in and out of my car all day long…the ultimate “Bad Hair Day” job.

After using No Frizz for a week, during one of the most humid, rainiest Octobers in Florida history, I actually got compliments from doctors on how nice my hair looked!

I have cut down the number of products used to tame my hair from about a dozen to two! I have been using No Frizz Cream for straight hair and a bit of hairspray…that’s it!

You really are Living Proof that everyone can have beautiful hair!

    Many Thanks,
    Pat
