We have gotten thousands of calls and e-mails with great feedback and lots of questions about No Frizz and Living Proof. One of the most frequently asked questions is about whether No Frizz be used on color treated hair and will using it effect the ability to color my hair?

The answer is YES, No Frizz can be used on color treated hair and it will NOT affect the ability for you to get colored. In fact, we have found in our experience that No Frizz enhances color treated hair by improving its vibrancy. Lots of customers also tell us that their highlights just pop when they use the formulas.

Another tip for colorers is that often you need a little more hydration due the damage caused during the coloring process. So I typically recommend trying the cream or the treatment for a touch of conditioning.

I color have my hair colored vibrant red every 5 weeks and using no frizz my color looked brand new every days. The only reason i refreshed color was due to gray roots showing more because my hair grew over 1/4 inch since using this stuff. No lie my hair get so many compliments from men, women, and kids.

    Hi Rob,

I got my first bottle of No-Frizz in the mail this morning, and I checked this blog because I wasn’t sure if I should use it immediately or wait until I freshen up my dye job. I’m happy to see that No Frizz won’t interfere with my ability to dye my hair. But I’m still puzzled, because since it makes the hair more water-resistant, wouldn’t it make it more dye-resistant? It would be great if you could give a physics/science-based explanation of why No Frizz doesn’t interfere with subsequent hair dying. I am a frizzy-haired beauty-science geek, and I love getting the kind of research-based info about beauty provided by your website.

    Thanks!!

Lori, definitely use the No Frizz Treatment products given your hair is dry and damage. I would also recommend using a leave-in conditioner in combination with No Frizz to give your hair the hydration is needs. Just apply the leave-in as usual and follow with the No Frizz Treatment.

Let us know if you need any more help.
