graduation hairGraduation is definitely a time when you feel like you’re swimming in a sea of emotions—an end of an era that’s simultaneously the start of a new beginning. But in the days leading up to graduation, you can’t help but think about your outfit and your hair. You’re not the only one! We’ll help you make this process a lot easier with these easy tips:

Check the weather forecast. If rainy weather or humidity is in the forecast, let the Living Proof No Frizz line do the heavy lifting and keep frizzy hair at bay.

There are two simple styles that work best with those annoying (and painfully ugly) graduation caps:

  • 1. Low ponytail – It’s easy, neat, keeps you cool, and it’s easy to maintain throughout the day. If you want to liven it up, add soft curls or braid it. Hint: braids (either a single one or pigtails) are great for very thick or long hair!
  • 2. Leave it down – whether it’s straight or curly, leaving it down is the best way in avoiding the messiness that may occur if you were planning a more intricate style.

Stock up on bobby pins! Because graduation caps were created to make us cry, it will not stay on by itself, no matter how well it fits. Secure by crisscrossing two bobby pins to each side.

As far as hair maintenance goes, make sure to wash your hair the day before graduation. Freshly-washed hair can be slippery and more difficult to style. Also, after you’re done styling your hair, spray it with a light mist of Hold Flexible Hairspray. That way, your hair will have a bit of grip to it and will help keep your graduation cap in place.

With these tips, you can not only end your high school or college years looking great, you can start the next phase of your life looking great, too!
