Premiere Orlando is one of the top rated annual beauty events in the world. It’s the largest trade show in the professional beauty industry in the United States and features hundreds of exhibiting companies who showcase hair, skin, and nail products as well as spa and salon equipment.

The event also features educational sessions with 350-plus classes and workshops in hair, nails, business and skin care. It was Living Proof’s grand debut at this exclusive event and they definitely turned heads. The Living Proof team went down to Florida and showcased Living Proof’s No Frizz line, Full Thickening Cream, and Hold Flexible Hairspray to the salon world.

Living Proof co-founder and Mitchell John Salon owner, Mitch DeRosa sent us this e-mail after the show:

The Orlando show was a big hit! Everyone who witnessed us doing the steam test were blown away and took samples, it was surprising how many people had already heard of us through the press or from friends. This was our first real foray into the professional beauty arena and the response was overwhelmingly positive!

As of now, Living Proof can be found in salons in the southeast. If you are a salon owner and are interested in learning more about Living Proof, click on “Salons” at the top of the window and let us know! We’re excited to bring Living Proof to our fans in a brand new way.

Other head-turning guests were Victoria Secret model Selita Ebanks and The City star and fashion designer, Whitney Port. The awards were hosted by comedian and actor Mario Cantone, best known for his role as Anthony Marentino on Sex and the City (he’ll be in the upcoming movie!).

So many stars, such little time! Rob had such a fun time and he can’t wait to go back again—hopefully another three awards in 2011?

It was a full house at the Waldorf Astoria in New York where the Awards luncheon was held. Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Selita Ebanks, Sex and the City’s Mario Cantone, and Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade were in attendance to watch Living Proof make a complete sweep.

They won in the three categories they were nominated for: the Indie Beauty Award, Full Thickening Cream in Best Hair Styling Product Prestige, and No Frizz Shampoo in Best Hair Care Product Prestige.

The Indie Beauty Award is a special distinction since it celebrates small independent beauty companies that exemplify creativity, originality, and the entrepreneurial spirit. To find out more about the award, click here.

The 2010 Edison Awards were last night in New York and Living Proof left as the winner of the Bronze medal in the Consumer Packaged Goods – Personal Care Segment!

Every year, the Edison Awards Steering Committee awards those who add a new chapter to America’s history of rich innovation, like Thomas Edison did so many years ago.

We’re proud that Living Proof’s Full Thickening Cream was considered for an award that acknowledges and honors the idea of innovation, creativity, and ingenuity.

Last year, Living Proof’s No Frizz line was also awarded the Bronze award in the same category.

There they met with hundreds of fans who not only got their hair professionally styled with the Living Proof No Frizz Restyling Spray and Hold Flexible hairspray (an exclusive treat!), but also left with a bag filled with Beauty Bash products including Full Thickening Cream and No Frizz Restyling Spray!

The event was a huge success. Below you’ll find pictures of the many hair miracles performed that weekend. Here’s a great email from a fan we met at the Beauty Bash:

I was able to get two days out of that great straight, no frizz hair.  I love it.  I never in all my life (even with a hairdresser doing my hair) have ever - ever had my hair that straight with no frizz.  It was truly amazing.  My hair is naturally “messy curly”.  I can’t wait to try my goodies from you guys.

Thanks so much for everything…it was the first time (in the four years going to the Beauty Bashes) that I got to experience someone fussing over me….so it really was a special treat.

The Indie Beauty Award is award to a small independent beauty company that recognizes innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. They must have first introduced products in the US in 2005 or later.

Living Proof, Inc. will go up against Color FX Skincare, Moroccainoil, Oribe Hair Care, and Oscar Blandi Haircare.

The No Frizz Shampoo was nominated under the Hair Care Product Prestige category while Full Thickening Cream was nominated under the Hair Styling Product Prestige category. The winners will be announced at the CEW Beauty Awards Luncheon on May 21, 2010.

The Cosmetic Executive Women, Inc. is a non-profit organization that aims to advance the professional growth and leadership development of women in the beauty industry.
