When creating a beauty care product, there are a lot of variables that need to be considered. One of the most important is the scent. If something doesn’t smell great, you probably won’t be open to trying it. At Living Proof, our fragrances are custom blended by expert perfumers to augment the experience our technologies deliver. A lot of us wash and style our hair in the evenings to try and save ourselves time the next morning as we dash out the door. Unfortunately, we all know that even if we’ve spent all night styling our hair to perfection, it rarely stays that way when we wake up in the morning. Dreaded bed head ensues - from little frizzies to full on bird’s nests. A lot of women try to solve this problem by rewetting their hair with water to try and quickly restore their style from the night before.  However, while this seems like it should do the trick it’s not really a solution. Water alone can dry out the hair leaving it dull and full of static so while wet hair may seem tamed and under control, your hair is back to being a mess by the time it dries. And, if you’re someone who tosses and turns at night, you know that water alone isn’t going to help with those tangles or frizzies that pop up due to the friction between your hair and your 200-thread-count pillowcase (we recommend sleeping on satin to help mitigate this problem). At Living Proof, our scientists wanted to see if there was a way to create a restyling product that actually refreshes your hair and allows you to restyle your hair better than water alone. They incorporated the frizz-fighting PolyfluoroEster molecule into this new formula and out came a spray that detangles, controls static, lightly rehydrates and brings your hair back to its originally styled form in a matter of minutes—without any oils or silicones. A true time-saving styler for women on the go! Try it out and let us know what you think. Hint: it’s great for a mid-day refresh too!
Who doesn't want it all—especially when it comes to your hair! If you’ve stocked up on No Frizz and just purchased our latest breakthrough, Full, only one question remains: what do I use first? No Frizz or Full? The first thing to consider is what No Frizz product you're using. If you have been using the No Frizz Cream or Treatment, you could switch to a spray for the most weightless style. Full has some light conditioners in it as well so it isn’t necessary to use two creams at once. How your hair will look will differ depending on which you use first so you may want to try it both ways. Use No Frizz first followed by Full for the fuller, thicker look and feel. And the reverse, Full first then No Frizz for the best humidity resistance and frizz-free effect. Our best suggestion is to try it both ways and see what works best for you.  Everyone’s hair reacts differently to certain products and climates but as long as you take a chance and experiment, you may come up with a sure-fire hair regimen that leaves you looking fabulous with no time at all! If you have any questions or comments on how to use the product, please leave a comment or call our customer care service!

Looking back at 2009, we noticed that while blonds may have had more fun, brunettes had more press. The year’s hottest stars sported dark browns and jet black hair.  Megan Fox and Zooey Deschanel were two raven-haired beauties who stole the summer while some dyed their signature light locks for a sultrier look like Victoria Secret model Miranda Kerr did just recently. So we decided to show you the science behind hair coloring. Continue →
We all love winter hats. They look adorable and they keep your head warm in the winter--what more could you want? Yet we all could live without the crazy static that causes us to go from looking like Rachel Bilson to Marge Simpson. The best way to walk through a winter wonderland without worrying about your look is to know the science behind Continue →
Should you use lemon juice to lighten up your hair? Will plucking one gray hair result in ten showing up the next day? Is there a true and tried way to repair the ghastly split-end? Maybe Britney Spears shaved her entire head because she thought her hair would grow back thicker (and not because she's crazy). Continue →
